The earth actually does spin around its own axis 366.25 times in a year, but since the earth also orbits the sun, this only produces 365.25 days. If the earth stopped orbiting the sun, there would be 366.25 days in a year (a "year", in this example, being the amount of time the earth would take to orbit the sun, if it were still happening).

It's easiest to visualise when you consider a small number of rotations. If the earth did not rotate at all, this would still produce one day per year, thanks to earth orbiting the sun. If the earth rotated once per year, in the same direction as its orbit of the sun, this would produce zero days - the same side of the earth would always face the sun (the moon orbits earth in this way). Rotating twice in this manner would produce just one day. If it rotated once per year, but in the opposite direction to its orbit of the sun, this would produce two days. Earth rotates in the same direction as its orbit of the sun, meaning that the number of days that we get is one less than our number of rotations. 366.25 rotations, 365.25 days.

Today is not Sunday, and tomorrow is not Wednesday. Yesterday was not Friday, and the day before yesterday was not Monday. Tomorrow is not Sunday, and yesterday was not Sunday. The day after tomorrow is not Saturday, nor is it Sunday. Yesterday was not Monday, and neither was it Wednesday. The day before yesterday was not Wednesday, and tomorrow won't be Tuesday. Today is not Wednesday.
Which day is it, if one of the above statements is false?

It's Sunday, and "Today is not Sunday" is the false statement. "Yesterday was not Saturday" and "tomorrow won't be Monday" is never said. If it is Sunday, tomorrow is not Wednesday, yesterday was not Friday, the day before yesterday wasn't Monday, tomorrow is not Sunday, yesterday was not Sunday, the day after tomorrow is neither Saturday nor Sunday, yesterday was not Monday, and neither was it Wednesday, the day before yesterday won't be Wednesday, tomorrow won't be Tuesday, and today isn't Wednesday.

All the others have at least one conflicting statement left when one is eliminated.

Three men are lying on the floor, in an air-tight room of metal. One of the men has a severe injury, the other two are uninjured. All three are dead. The room was inescapable while the men were alive (and still is), but not locked. In the middle of the room is a table, and on the table, a full deck of cards is strewn about. There is a revolver on the floor. The revolver's chambers are all empty and there is only one shell casing on the floor.

Provide the correct answers to all of these questions:

-What is the room part of?
-Why is the room inescapable?
-How did each of the men die?
-How does the deck of cards tie into the situation?
-Why did they die?


Answering one question correctly may lead you to the answer of another question, I don't require all questions to be answered correctly in one go.

-Why did they die? You can't survive without oxygen for long. That accounts for two men; the third died from the shot.
