Totally unrelated, the lighting at my house was really lovely this evening. It was dark and cloudy overhead, but the setting sun hit the trees at just the right angle to brighten their colours.

I've been unconscious twice, one time I tripped and subsequently woke up bandaged in a bed not knowing what day it was (it was still the same day) and the other time I got up too quickly during potato harvesting while dehydrated.

Hey all! I'm new here because I came trying to find answers but couldn't so I figured I asked. Do you know if it is legal to write a book about a character in the world Skyrim? And if so, can I use quotes from the actual game?

I don't believe there's any litigation surrounding fair use with respect to fan fiction. Nonetheless, the usual rules stand that it needs to be (1) transformative (as opposed to derivative), and (2) not entail a reduction in value of the original good. So ask yourself those questions. Whilst it also shouldn't make a difference, if you're looking to sell it on - generally speaking - receive less protection under fair use clauses.

Irrespective of legality though, most authors and media production companies tend to be fine with people writing fan fiction as it relates to their world, so a good idea if you're looking to write in a world that has received considerable attention before - like TES - is just to check if anyone else was sued.

As long as it is not for profit and is free, Bethesda won't have any issues with it. Fanfiction is based on existing stuff and usually, the general rule is as long as no-one tries to sell stuff using it, the IP owners. You can use quotes from the actual game. Just don't sell it due to copyright.

I love it when the sky is that dark stormy grey, but then the sun illuminates the trees.
Equally in Summer, the dark sky looks great with the bright green leaves.

But in Britian, it is mostly rain and we do not have the ability to take those types of pictures. That said, it is now that time of year where feet get cold. I hate cold feet. Would set them on fire but apparently, it would be classed as pollution.

I just completed writing half of my story The Draconimus, and by the gods it looks good. So far 95 word pages and 42,680 WORDS. I think by the end it will be the size of The Hobbit.



The only problems I encountered is with one name:- I need the name of a capital city for the Draconian Empire. The name is supposed to be English (one or two words together) and define a humongous city with a lot of dragons.

Theresa's Kingdom? She's the closest thing to a dragon, I guess.

I need a city name. Something which can comply with the 'Palace of Dragonhall'.

It turns out I can't game in the dark. It kinda annoys me and well, not good for my eyes. Replacing the bulb in the dark is going to be really fun tonight.

Do you not have a torch?

Not really. Got a small keyring torch that works but the button is uncomfortable to use and don't have no room for lamps. Fortunately, I will have light bulbs by the end of today.

And that's the highlight of my week.

I hate changing the bulb. Decided that as my bed is as stable as a drunken fool balancing on one foot.

Tis very bright. Tis poundland ones.

Trouble with bright lights, is that they show up things that you probably would rather not see.

It also probably seems brighter because you've started to become accustomed to the dark, like a cave...dweller.

Had a really weird dream last night. Nothing profound or prolific, more like absurdly ridiculous. Dreamed I was celebrating my bday (just had it oct 19th) and there were a few celebrities there. I admire said celebrities but in the dream I was under the impression that they just came over because they wanted to get in on the celebrations and they thought they could waltz right on in my house. This annoyed me but one of said celebs was sad and so I tried cheering her up. The other celeb stole my seat, then begrudgingly gave it back when I pointed it out.
