This one a little different from the usual puzzle. Wouldn't be surprised if someone got it instantly:

There was a football player named Thrad. When the audience started to cheer for him, all the elves left with haste. Why?

Btw this is somewhat Skyrim related if that helps at all.

I suppose that the gist here is that if you combine some cheer and this football player's name you get some sort of elven swear word. This is the easiest thing that comes to mind. Image

The only thing that comes up in the Wiki is Gothryd who was a king in Daggerfall, but it doesn't say anything about him and elves.

Yeah, I found that too lol. Apart from the lack of any connection to Elves, he's also from the wrong game...

Here is a clue:

Spoiler:
It has to do with a weapon.

Norreon was right about the combining thing.

That was clever. Ironically enough, Baldr, my Altmer 'black sheep', wielded that axe to battle. Image

Here's an easy one:
Spoiler:
You are locked in a pitch black, cold room. Around you is a wood burning stove and a lantern and you find that you have a single match on you. What do you light first?

Spoiler:
The match.

If this is the right answer, I'll pass on my turn. Mainly because I've heard this one before, so DON'T click on spoiler tag if you don't want to know the answer.

Light the wood burning stove and use that to light the lantern. If there is no wood, light the lantern and use that to light the stove.

Like I said , I'll pass this one. It's good not to have the same guy over and over again. Adds variety since others are better at thinking up puzzles anyway. So go ahead anyone.

Spoiler:
A slightly tipsy man was returning home. He was walking down a road, right in the middle. The road was not lit by moonlight, and there were no street lamps. The man was dressed in black. Suddenly, a car appeared on the road. Its headlights were unlit. At the very last moment, the driver saw the man and avoided an accident.
How could he see him?

When you know the answer, 3 seconds is more than enough. Image

But I didn't know the answer :D.

Getting sick of posting puzzles. I would much prefer to be guessing, but oh well. Here's a number puzzle. A slightly modified version of another puzzle:

What is the next number in the series?

288, 272, 224, 128, 32, ?

Took me about twenty seconds. :P
Spoiler:
It should be 32.
From the first number you subtracted 16 to get the second,
48 (16*3) was then subtracted to get the next number
96 (48*2) was then subtracted to get the next number
96 (96*1) was then subtracted to get the net number
The next amount subtracted should be 96*0 which is zero, leaving the number the same and ending the sequence (unless you then went into negative numbers).

Ok, maybe it was more like a minute. It took me longer to figure out how to explain it than to figure out what was going on.

I'm decent at solving these things, but terrible at coming up with them.

Another riddle (once again easy):
Quote:
Bob and Sue are lying on the floor amidst shards of glass and a baseball. The carpet around them is damp but not soaked. They have died from suffocation. How?
