This one a little different from the usual puzzle. Wouldn't be surprised if someone got it instantly:

There was a football player named Thrad. When the audience started to cheer for him, all the elves left with haste. Why?

Btw this is somewhat Skyrim related if that helps at all.

I suppose that the gist here is that if you combine some cheer and this football player's name you get some sort of elven swear word. This is the easiest thing that comes to mind.

The only thing that comes up in the Wiki is Gothryd who was a king in Daggerfall, but it doesn't say anything about him and elves.

Ok, maybe it was more like a minute. It took me longer to figure out how to explain it than to figure out what was going on.

I'm decent at solving these things, but terrible at coming up with them.

Another riddle (once again easy):
