"Go to sleep now, boy. I'll talk to you again on the train." Quinn soothed and Latch settled down to rest.

Over the next hour Quinn got everything he needed, from textbooks to candy to boots. Everything was piled in a huge cart, along with his old possessions. Quinn Personally carried Latch and his yew wand but that was it; Vincent carried the rest.

"We're done shopping Quinn." Vincent said.
Quinn smiled. "Thanks dad."

"Same with us." Percy's dad said. They both said goodbye, and walked to a few shops. His dad bought him some candy. Percy and his dad began to walk around Diagon Alley, his dad talking about stuff that he saw.

Samael was on his way to diagon alley, his blue eyes seemed brighter than normal, it was to be his first year at hogwarts. His rat, Archimedes, was clearly nervous about the affair. "Calm down, it'll be fun." He said, scratching the back of the rodents ear. Archimedes made a squeaking sound, and Samael furrowed his brow. "Weird is relative." He stepped of the train, Archimedes climbed on his shoulder to observe his new environment. "yep, we're hear." He said, suddenly losing his calm demeanor.

Samaels parents had both been text book slytherin, yet he displayed none of the houses traits and had nothing but contempt for the house. The young warlocks main concern was that he would be selected for slytherin. he walked through the busy streets picking up items he would need for his tenure, Books, cauldrons, ingrediants.. the usual. He was given a 13 inch elder wood wand with a unicorn hair core, it was impressive.

Two children, sons of his fathers friends, called to him. They hated muggles, in fact the only they hated more were half blooded wizards. The Friedlander family was powerful enough, and the two wizards only wanted to get on Samaels good side so they could later reap the benefits. After making polite conversation for awhile he managed to make up an excuse to leave, and said goodbye. "Yeah I don't like them either." The boy said to his faithful rat.

With Napoleon carrying the vast majority of Hannibal's supplies, the Roi family finally finished their shopping as they bought the last eneded textbook. Hannibal was still carrying Handel, gazing into the creature's eyes. He had his wand held gently in his other hand.

"It is time to head for the train." Cecilia said to her son.

"But I want to keep shopping." Hannibal replied.

Napoleon frowned. "Watch your tone, Hannibal!" he hissed. "You have everything you need."

"However," Cecilia added, holding out a small chest. "In case you are in need of anything at school, I give you this."

Hannibal took and chest and held it against his body with the wand in the same hand. "What's in it, Mother?"

"Fifty Galleons." Cecilia replied.

"Only fifty?"

Cecilia clicked her high heeled shoes against the ground. She often did this when irritated by Hannibal's behavior. "I think fifty is enough, my dear. Besides, your father and I shall be sending you gifts from home often."

Hannibal sighed. "Very well. Thank you, Mother and Father. I suppose we should head out to the train." He looked at his owl. "Isn't that right, Handel?"

Suddenly, three wizards with their wands out ran down the Alley strip in a hurry. "Everyone - stand aside!" Shouted one small, dark skinned woman with bright red hair. When no one moved, the woman raised her wand and a large force wave pushed everyone to the sides of the building.

"Is he here yet? Have you seen Rex?" One of the three asked.

"No sign of him here. Maybe -"

"Watch out!" Someone shouted, and without farther warning a huge spider -- an Acromantula -- jumped over one building onto the ground where the three wizards stood.

"Look out! Look out!" The dark skinned woman shouted and raised her wand to the spider, but it hit her entire body with one of it's huge legs. The woman went flying.

"Alexia!" Shouted one of the remaining two wizards before the Acromantula beat them down as well. The spider turned to the crowd, and was just about to strike before five more Wizards ran down the strip and cast an odd spell at the spider, which made it writhe in pain and then jump away.

"After it! After it!" One of the wizards shouted, and four of them chased after it. One man stayed behind to tend to the three fallen wizards.

Stunned, the everyone in the crowd left to tell someone about what just happened.

As quick as it started, it was over.

"Quel était cela!?" Hannibal shouted. Handel was making short, quiet clicking noises in his cage.

"An Acromantula." Napoleon said. "We must move on. It is not safe here. I want you on that train immediately, Hannibal."

"I agree." Cecilia stated. "Are you alright, my son?"

"Yes." Hannibal replied. "But that spider was repulsive! Dégoûter!"

Archimedes burrowed himself into Samaels hood. "I heard they were big, but I didn't know they were that big!" he exclaimed, pushing through the crowd to see if he could find the beast. "dammit it's gone." Samael was disappointed, he had half a mind to try out his new wand on the creature, although he realized it was probably a bad idea to get involved. "I hope I get to see another one." Archimedes was not pleased to hear that.

"Where do you think it went?" Hannibal asked his parents.

Napoleon was pushing through the crowds in his attempt to keep his son and wife away from the creature. He did not want his family harmed. "I do not know. And I do not care. You shouldn't either."

"But I do!" Hannibal said. "It was massive! It was disgusting! But it was amazing at the same time!"

"Sweetheart," Cecilia butted into the conversation. "It was dangerous. It could have killed you."

"But I want to see it!" Hannibal argued. "I never knew spiders could become that big! Now, I'll think nothing of the tiny little ones that run about the servants' quarters at home! That was brilliant! It was-"

"It was something you'll never see again." Napoleon inturrupted. "Now, come on! We will get to the train station as soon as possible."
