A girl with long blonde hair and piercing amber eyes suddenly poked her head into Hannibal's seating area. "Hello, little cousin!" she said sarcastically in a heavy French accent.

This was Hannibal's cousin, Brigitte Roi. Aside from their similar hair and eye color, Brigitte and Hannibal looked nothing alike. And their personalities were completely opposite. Brigitte was also born to a very wealthy set of parents. Her father, a very famous writer, was the brother of Hannibal's father. Her mother was a renowned Quidditch player. Unlike Hannibal and his parents, Briggite and her family did not live in the Muggle world. They lived on a remote estate in eastern France.

Thëllënza eyed the fire, not focusing on it, as she had trouble understanding what on earth the book was trying to convey. She had also pulled out her wand, and was shifting her gaze from it and the book, looking dumbfounded.

"Oh God, you're only nine months older than I am!" Hannibal said to Brigitte. "Go away! You can't sit around here!"

"What is this even supposed to do?" Thëllënza said, pointing at the book. "I mean, what does Vanguardium Levioso mean?"

"Il n'a pas d'importance!" Brigitte told Hannibal with a smile, squeezing her cousin's cheek. "I'm about to turn thirteen, and you'll be a year younger than I am!"

The girl laughed. "Well relax, little cousin. I'm not here to bother you. I'll leave if you want." Brigitte picked up the large owl cage that she had been carrying with her. The cage contained her beautiful eagle owl, Pan.

Samael opened a book on magical creatures, turning to the section on giant spiders, hoping to come across something on the one that attacked diagon alley.

Aidan craned his head over and glanced at the book which Thellenza was reading, and translated. "Wingardiam Leviosa. Levitation spell. Swish and flick."

IN THE PLATFORM:

John followed the caped man, who was hunched over and carried an aura of mystique and malevolence around with him. He disappeared round a column and John had to jog to keep up with him. John hoped that the noise generated by the amount of people in the platform would mask his footsteps as he raced to follow the man.

"Sure...." Thëllënza said, eyeing the book sceptically. "Let's just find something else..."

"Good." Hannibal said. "Get out of here. Seriously, you drive me crazy! Fou!"

"I would demonstrate, however, I'm afraid of coming across as pompous or rude. Which I hope I'm not." Said Aidan kindly.

IN THE PLATFORM:

When John sensed that the man who he was following was about to apparate, he grabbed him by the neck and slammed him into a pillar forcefully. "Ahh... Mister Valiterie, fancy meeting you here." He sneered.

The Dark Wizard glared at him. "If it isn't the half-blood nobody, come to apprehend me? Or have you remembered that you are no longer in a position of authority at the Ministry!" He spat.

"No, no, please, do as you wish." Thëllënza said. "I'm just going to find something that isn't likely to blow stuff up, our conjure up pigeons."

"Well aren't you just a sweetheart?" Brigitte laughed. "Fine, I'll leave you alone. But don't be thinking that I'll be ignoring you the entire year! We may be put into the same House. Then, we'll be able to pull all of the pranks we pulled when we were little, yes?"

Brigitte squeezed Hannibal's cheeks again and walked down the aisle with her owl, searching for another place to sit.

"Hey did you see the spider earlier?" Samael asked with a furrowed brow.

"Samael Friedlander." he replied, trying to downplay his last name. "What was its genus? do you know?"

Meanwhile, Thëllënza, who had been staring suspiciously at the book, decided to have a go at it.

"Expellimus!" she exclaimed, only for her wand to sizzle and make a bright light show in her hand, simultaneously causing her to fall alseep.

Brigitte approached the small group of new students, Aidan, Quinn, Sameal, and Thëllënza. "Do you mind if I sat here?" she asked as she set her owl cage on the ground. "My cousin just kicked me out of his compartment. I understand if you don't want me here."

"Are you sure?" Brigitte asked. "I mean, I could easily go to another compartment. I just feel like talking to somebody right now."

Brigitte sat down beside Samael and set her cage containing Pan on the floor. "My name's Brigitte," she said to Aidan in her French accent. "Brigitte Roi."
