"I'm Scottish, you Albanian!" He retorted, catching up with her. "Expelliarmus!"

A yellow light hit the spider but had no effect.

"Doesn't matter!" Thëllënza shoted, "You're still British! And do you have any idea how stupid you are going in here?"

"Hypocrite! How did you get in here?" He responded, grabbing her hand and dragging her along.

"I have no idea! I was reading! I meant going in here on purpose! And wouldn't it be prudent to split up, seeing as that idiotic thing can only chase one of us?"

"You're ignoring the fact that one of us would be eaten and I would have to live with the blame if it was you who was ddevoured!"

"The better hope it follows you, cause I'm not going to stick around here for much longer," Thëllënza said, trying to retrieve something from her backpack while running.

"What the bloody hell are you doing!" He asked, stopping to fire some more spells at the Acromantula.

"I only looked up once while walking, and that was while I passed an open shed," Thëllënza explained, pulling an elongated, wooden object from her backpack. "These were inside. rather better than running, no?"

"A broom?" He asked, taking on of the brooms and sitting on it. "How do you fly?"

"Let me steer that! There's only one broom, and the flying books I actually understood!" Thëllënza mumbled, pushing Aidan a bit further down the broomstick before climbing onto the broom in front of him. "Now, all I have to do - I think - is to lean forward..."

The broom floated up in the air. The spider halted in its tracks, confused. Aidan leaned forward and the broom soared up. It knocked through branches, scraping the two students. The broomstick, old and crooked, was not strong enough to hold the weight of two people and began to snap.

"Sit still, you nitwit," Thëllënza shouted, struggling to hold the veering broom on the course of the forest edge, which she could now see.

"It's not my fault! This is a Nimbus 1999!" He bellowed. "It's ancient! It's almost as old as me!"

The broom was loosing altitude rapidly and hit a huge branch. Aidan was sent flying off of it and would have died were it not for the abundance of branches. He hit the floor with a thump and groaned. Dizzily, he stood up and immediately fell back down. In the distance, leaping quickly, was the Acromantula.

Yodah was running after Aidan and a Ravenclaw he didn't recognize when they suddenly took off on a broom.


"HEY! WHAT ABOUT ME AND PERCY?!" He shouted. A few seconds later though they came crashing back down, and he caught up to them again.

"Don't ever leave me to die like that again..." said Yodah, attempting to help Aidan up.

Aidan leaned on Yodah groggily and stumbled.

"We have to get him out of here." Percy said, backing away.

Aidan clutched his head and shook it. "I'll only slow you down. I'll try and stall it. Run."

Thëllënza, a bit above them, was scouting through the dense layer of leaves and branches, unable to see anything, wobbling around on the broom.

"Are you okay down there?" she yelled.

"No. You are coming with us. I'm not letting someone get killed here." Percy said to Aidan, trying to lift him up.

The broom was on it's last legs. It was battered and had hardly any twigs yet.

"I'm fine." He muttered, before tripping onto the ground. Percy lifted him onto his shoulders and they began to run.

"Whoa... Not good, keep still, you stupid washing remedy!" Thëllënza muttered as she decided to abandon the scouting and flew for lear ground to land on, outside the forest.

Percy sprinted as fast as he could, hoping the others were behind him.
"You're fat!" Percy yelled.

The broomstick began to crack and came nearer and nearer top the ground. It struck a tree and span out of control, landing with a crash.

"You're just weak." He grunted.

"Whatever." Percy muttered.

Thëllënza got up groggily, kicking at the remains of the broom. "Useless thing!"
