Hello.

I'm not sure if I can get any help here, but I have a problem. I know that in order to join the Dark Brotherhood I have to kill 5 townspeople or 15 guards, get a letter and meet a person in a town.

Well, I have the letter and I'm in the town. However, I cant ask townspeople about him (his name isnt a topic) and what they say about the Dark Brotherhood isnt helping. I've tried reloading to try in different parts of the world, as the town you are sent to always is in the province you performed the murders, but to no avail. I've now checked every house in three different towns and they are rather big, I mark houses I've been to on the map and proceed. It takes forever. The person is nowhere to be found.

Can anyone give me a clue to what kind of house/place he can be found in? If anyone has done this quest and remember exactly where he is, can you tell me the house, town and province you joined the guild in?

Thanks alot,
LarsBM

Check under "People" in dialog. That's where you find the contact's name. The Dark Brotherhood contact will always be in a store.

I'm the highest rank now (Master Assassin). Took these screenshots from a couple of great dialogues. All quest-dialogues from the Dark Brotherhood are great, but these ones are among the best:

You dont have to use the to post a link :)
You only have to use them to make it look like this instead of www.Uesp.net
You do like this word(s)

Edit: Never mind, you made it work again :)

I will seriously recommend it. After getting used to the game it's a lot of fun. I've played countless hours of Morrowind and Oblivion but I still find this game very entertaining. The main quest is very good, as are most of the guild quests (although a bit repetitive). There are unlimited quests as they are randomly generated all the time, and they can get repetetive at least if you always go the same people/guild and ask for them.
