Coming back to Daggerfall (and TES games in general) after a long absence....

I could have sworn the last time I played Daggerfall, I found an item called "gloves" in the first treasure pile of Privateer's Hold. They were also for sale in Clothing Stores. No. Not leather gauntlets. Gloves.

Spent the better part of two hours going through treasure piles yesterday and nearly every Clothier in the Kingdom of Daggerfall. Not a single "gloves" was to be found. Then I come to UESP, and "gloves" is not even a type of clothing listed along with the others in the "enchantment capacity" section.

Is one of the mods (I installed most of the ones from the "downloads" section of this site, like the ones that fix quests and fix the appearance of Dark Elf NPCs) interfering with "gloves"? Or.... did I imagine "gloves"?

I couldn't find anything about them, either. There's mods that add gloves, and there's plain gloves in Skyrim and Morrowind. You might have been thinking about those.

And... it was certainly Daggerfall. Maybe I was using a mod, though I'm sure I was only using one found on UESP, which I am doing again, though perhaps I "installed" them correctly this time.

Could you recommend a good "gloves" mod? The way I remember them, they were "clothing", so did not have an armour rating but also did not wear out due to durability. And they looked simple - like the ones you are automatically "wearing" on screen when your character puts up their fists.

^ That's the main reason I want them. I wanted to wear clothes to match what was on the screen. Gloves, white shirt, boots, brown pants. I also was certain there were brown pants with stitching down the side like the ones your character automatically "wears" when you kick someone, but I couldn't find those either.

I also remember having a Daggerfall editor that let you change the items (etc.) you got from answering the background questions. The ones I find on the page now just let you change save games.... or, did I overlook the one I am looking for?

Definitely sounds like you were playing a modded version of the game before.
