Hi, I'm new on this forum. I would like to edit Daggerfall face sprites to customize my character but I find it very difficult to do so.
The problem is that all the faces of the game are stored in one single file which is of the same type of the single sprites but is structured as a collection of different images, so as far as I have understood it is sometghing rather weird and tricky for the game itself. The editor I downloaded don't recognize this file while it opens other sprites of the game and I have not found any utility to export/import single sprites in a file of this kind. Anybody can help me? Many thanks!

ANDYPIC can successfully extract and repack the face image files. It will convert each frame into a PCX file (you can seletively extract and pack back individual frames). I suggest GrafX2 as a good editor for 8-bit PCX files on modern hardware.

If you're on 64-bit Windows, you'll need to run ANDYPIC in DOSBox. It's a command-line tool but the commands are really simple.
