daggerfall - king of worms is scourg barrow

I am in scourg barrow in the dragontail mountains. I am on the quest from princess Morgana from wayrest. I have gone in the dungeon and met the king of worms. The problem I am having, is finding the exit. I have gone down every turn I can find and even down a long canyon with a lich I can't kill at the end. I just need a little advice. Do I need to kill the lich? Thanks!

Normally not, if you can find the room with the king of worms, look on the uesp site for this quest there is a way description from entry to him. Just use it to get back.(If you can afford to cast it use Recall if you enter a instance it helps much^^).

You can always do the cheat with alt-F11

what you do is save the game, then load it up DO NOT move and Hit alt F11 at the same time. It will warp you to the dungeon exit.
