I just got daggerfall running in DOSBox, and I wondering, is there a way to use it? haha i mean to block like in oblivion? or does it give you a chance of blocking like in diablo like games.
i know, lazy way of finding out

^^^ what on earth? He is talking about Daggerfall not Oblivion.

Anyways, I do not thin there is a way at least not that I have found out, (i have been trying off and on now the past few days)

I believe it's simply a bonus to your armor stat. If you draw your weapon with a shield equipped trying to switch to the alternate (shield) hand does nothing
