Hey guys,

Daggerfall was my favorite game when I was a kid and I recently discovered that it was available as a free download. I'd like to take a nostalgic plunge back into Tamriel, but I'm having a few problems.

So I got DosBox, managed to get the game up and running after successfully patching it to 2.13 and dumping the additional quest files into the ARENA folder.

The game runs fine, but unfortunately, I noticed that the DFQFIX isn't registering. How you ask? Well the changes to the first two quests encountered weren't reflecting the patch. I could talk to people about Lady Brisienna before receiving her letter, and the tutorial quest was only giving me 7 days to complete it as opposed the 14 (the amount given in the DFQFIX version). Now the official 2.13 patch installed perfectly, of that I'm sure. But what am I doing wrong with the DFQFIX? Does it even work with mac?

Here are a few things I notice.

When I copy and paste the DFQFIX files into the Arena folder, they have different icons than the original files, but the same names. They look like different file types, but don't appear to be.

I'm trying to figure this all out before I give up.

Any help trying to get the DFQFIX to work on my mac would be very, very appreciated.

So it appears the DFQFIX files are documents as opposed to Unix files. Is that why they aren't working on my mac?
