I've seen a lot of links on here and most of them have titles that the poster made. I was wondering how in the world to do that. It gets tedious looking at a bunch of HTML mumbo-jumbo all day.

Do you mean where it's like this thread instead of this thread: http://forums.uesp.net/viewtopic.php?t=9065?

If so, just type the word or words you want highlight them click the URL button in the top right below the subject box it will come up with [url]link[/url]. Then just put and = sign after the first url (inside the brackets) and copy the link. It will look something like this: [url=someting.com]word/s[/url] and when posted will look like word/s.
