We don't want signatures to be too large, we have the limit to keep the forums tidy. 255 characters should be enough. |

My own signature at the moment nudges dangerously close the 255 character limit. But that only compelled me to concentrate my 255 is a magic number for computers. I submit that the reason the character limit is 255 characters is so that the forum software can compress the signature's code into a single image for storage. What you suggest would increase the memory demand extensively, more that you may assume at first blush. |
