Version 0.8.2 beta of the Oblivion Character Planner has been released!

Key changes in this version are:

  • A full Advice section that should help even novice Oblivion players put together a powerful, end-game worthy character
  • You can now select your race and gender by clicking on the race's image in the Overview pane (thanks to multiple user suggestions)

In addition, I laid the groundwork for Loading/Saving character configurations and Printing character details and results. These functions aren't implemented yet, but they are on my immediate radar.

Note that while OCP is still in beta, it is fully functional. Unfortunately, it only officially supports FireFox right now, but browser compatibility is on my to-do list. Other known issues, limitations, and planned improvements are listed in the Release Notes.

Please feel free to check out the new version and give any feedback here in the forums, on my UESP Wiki talk page, or by emailing to me.

Cheers,
-Foam

I know you said it only works (officially) on Firefox, but it doesn't load the "Dojo Toolkit" on Chrome, to be specific.

If you are getting this error

Quote:
If this message remains, then the Dojo Toolkit has failed to load.

For faster loading, OCP uses the Dojo Toolkit from the AOL CDN. Make sure your browser is configured to allow execution of JavaScript scripts from the o.aolcdn.com server.

then you need to make sure you have permitted execution of JavaScript scripts from the o.aolcdn.com server. I'm using NoScript on FireFox and running scripts from unknown servers is prohibited until I explicitly enable it. I wouldn't be surprised if Chrome has something similar. However, if you have the proper permissions and this message still remains, then that is something I'll have to fix when I add Chrome support.

Thanks for the report,
-Foam

Edit: Now that I can post hostnames, I removed the spaces between o.aolcdn.com.
