For Master you needed 7,000 posts. For Grand Master, 10,000.

Keep in mind that this only refers to 'counted' Posts in the TES and UESP related Forums. I used to spend a lot of time trawling the game subforums for 'help' threads to in which people (often not community members) would ask game-related questions or for assistance with bugs/mods/etc., and always did enjoy a lengthy discussion about the games and the lore.

If you also count posts in the General Forums, a lot of the dedicated roleplayers of around the 2012 era have many more posts. Off the top of my head I can say that Mars, LT and JV all have many more posts than I do in total, that many others like Weasel and Matt have around the same number, and that my 'counted' posts make up only about half of my total posts. I think LT has something like 24K posts. Those were some really fun times, I highly encourage you to get involved, if you can spare the time (I know I currently cannot by any stretch).

There are lots of ways people have demonstrated their dedication to the forums, most of them not indicated by post count.

Personally, I find the story of River to be quite interesting, what with his 0 post average despite being a fairly active member in the pre-Skyrim period.
