What is the significance of "Warning Level"? Does a certain amount of strikes get you banned? If so, how many strikes? Can't a moderator just ban you?
Sorry for the amount of questions, but please answer them.

Forum Rules wrote:Warnings - We have a "three strikes then you're out" policy. If users break the rules they will receive a warning. Disabling the Personal Message function or not reading Personal Messages sent by moderators will not be seen as an excuse.
Some infractions will cause an instant ban of your account. This can be cases of major disrespect of the rules or other members.

Just a little question on this.
The warning level starts at 0 or 1? If it starts at 0, I demand to know what I did to have 1 warning level.
I am a saint as you all know.

It starts at 0. You have one warning because you broke a rule

Wait what, when?
I deserve to know. <.<

To answer you a bit more thoroughly, 5tealthh, the warning system is built into the new phpbb3 software. Previously it was based purely on us keeping track ourselves. Don't worry, only you and Moderators/Admins can even see your warning level. Well.. except that you've publicly announced it.
As for bans, that's a separate thing and yes, we can basically ban you any time we want if we think you've broken a rule enough, etc. You didn't ask, but warnings expire 6 months after they're given. Because they're built into the software, unfortunately even very old warnings were started over when I put them into the system. I made sure it was the first thing I did after the update, so any warnings on record will expire 6 months after the beginning of the update, unless, of course, you were given one after after.
PS: I'd meant to add this onto my other post.. not sure how I managed to submit and go to edit, as I don't recall doing it.

Why do I have a warning level of two? What did I do the first time?

I assume it only shows up when you actually have a warning level. So if you cannot see it, then it is 0.

Go to your User Control Panel. If you can see it, it's there.

Alright. I believe the concept has been well explained. Lockey time.
If you didn't get it and you're reading this, lemme sum it up for you (mods edit this if I get it wrong)...
Warning Levels
Warning Level is what it says it is. A warning level. A moderator sees you breaking the rules, and warns you. But, if you do something really bad, a moderator can kick you out, skipping warning you.
You get 3 warns. If you're warning level gets up to 3, then you're banned. Warning levels go away in 6 months, so don't worry if you just simply made a mistake. But do take it into consideration that if you persist on being bad, then you will soon not be able to log in.
To check your Warning Level, simply go to your Control Panel and look at the bottom of the "Your Activity" heading box. The number will be bold and in brackets, so you can't miss it.
[pun]You have been warned.[/pun]
[clarification]That was a terrible pun...[/clarification]
