First glitch post removed/deleted?

Wed May 27, 2009 5:21 pm

Okay, so I made an account on the UESP Wiki yesterday and I posted a glitch on the glitches section today, I came back a few hours later, and it was gone! I didn't receive any notifications and it appears on my contributions, I also checked all the logs and it does not appear in any one of them.

It appeared in the glitches section at first, but then it dissapeared when I came back a few hours later and it was gone. I'm sure there was nothing wrong with it, but I'll post it here just to make sure you guys don't think there is anything wrong with it either. I HAVE actually posted this glitch on the Xbox 360 forums first, but now that I have posted it here, I am sure that is not a copyright issue.

The glitch:

Requirements:
2 of the Same scrolls.
1 of the same Scrolls.
1 Paintbrush.
Atleast 25 Acrobatics.
The Boots of Springheel Jack.
Very Good at Jumping(Lol)
Imperial Sewer Key(Optional, but helps)
The Bloodworks Key.
Imperial Palace Key(Optional, but helps)

Tutorial:

First of all, go to the Imperial City Palace and go inside, pickpocket a guard and take ALL of the keys the guard has on him. After that, go around the left side of the first floor untill you come to a door(which goes into the basement). Go infront of the door and crouch, make sure you hug the right wall so you cant be seen by the guards. Enter the basement and cut across untill you see a huge chair and a hourglass. Go to the hourglass and activate it, then exit the Palace and MAKE SURE you don't get caught by they guard.

The Boots of Springheel Jack:

Go to Jackben Imbel's house in the Talos Plaza district, and kill him. He should have the boots of Springheel Jack on him, put them on to get a 50+ Acrobatics Bonus. If your acrobatics is atleast at 50, then that is fantastic. But to do this, your acrobatics will need to be atleast 25. At the time, mine was 85 without the boots of Springheel Jack, so you might not need them, but having a skill of 400 Acrobatics(via enchantments) will make it take about 5 minutes to do.

The Paintbrushes:

Now go to the Imperial City Market District and look for a paintbrush in the containers outside the stores, once you have it, make sure you have atleast 2 of the same scrolls, and one other scroll and press A twice on one, and then drop the one you want to duplicate. When you have 10 of the same scroll, keep on duplicating untill you have about 130 of the same scroll, and then duplicate the paintbrushes(it becomes really laggy, so do it somewhere where there are not alot of objects), pick up all 130 and look at your map.

Rindirs Staffs:

Find Rindirs Staffs, next to the main entrance, you will find a small garden-type place, where you will find a Hollowed-Out tree trunk; oposite to it will be an entrance to the market sewers. Click this link: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Image:OB-ImpSewer-Market.jpg and make your way to I(marked on the map). Make sure you loot all the containers to find The Bloodwork's Sewer Key(look on Google if it helps you find).

Beneath the Bloodworks:

Click this link: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Image:OB-Map-I ... mArena.jpg and make your way to point G, but watch out, there are alot of vampire enemies depending on your level. To open gate F, you will need the key, which you can only get after the Last Thieves guild mission. There are alternetive ways to get past(using the paint brush glitch to get over), but it is highly recommended you do this after the last Thieves guild mission. Once your in, go down the grate into the Imperial City Palace Sewers.

The Palace Sewers:

Use this map http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Image:OB-Map-Palace_Sewers.jpg and make your way to point C, and at point K there are 2 Bottles of Human Blood and an Imperial Sewer Key.

The Old Way:

Heres your link: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Image:OB-ImpSewer-OldWay1.jpg Make your way to point L on the map, this is the trickiest bit and took me more than 2 hours to do, but it is worth it.

The Hard Part:

Okay, look for a gap in the roof, and use the paintbrush glitch to get up to the gap. Remember to save often and create platforms of Paintbrushes...and KEEP the scrolls, just incase you need to duplicate more paintbrushes. This is probably the hardest EVER paintbrush glitch ever, but I managed to pull it off. If you need to make more platforms of paintbrushes, you need to look at where you wanna drop them. When you get higher in the tunnel, it will get VERY VERY VERY hard, and the jumps become more insane. DO NOT pick up any paintbrushes you have laid down, as you will get very annoyed when you fall. Once you are at the top, lay down several paintbrushes so you dont fall, and JUMP, you will have to look right, as you will see some rock at the top and the entrance to the side. Its a trap door and you will have a split second to press A and get into the Imperial Battle Mages quarters. Make sure you save inside, and before you get inside.

The Imperial Palace, The Battlemages Quarters and more:

Okay, if you are in the Mages guild, YOU DO NOT want to kill this Woman up here, unless you dont mind getting suspended. She is a battlemage and wields a very powerfull staff. I did this at level 33, but it doesn't matter what level you are, as long as you have the requirements. This is a way to fix the glitch, but is very tricky.

That is exactly what I posted on the glitches section(maybe its too long, but I thought the editors change it a little bit).

I don't think that qualifies as a glitch. You are merely using several glitches to get somewhere you aren't supposed to. It is pretty much just an example of how to use the paint brush glitch to good effect. So that is why I think it was removed but I can't be sure as I wasn't the one who removed it.

Well, its really just using the paintbrush glitch to a good effect, but it could act as a glitch fix, as no one has posted a fix to the door in the Hall of Epochs not opening.

It was probably removed as it isn't the type of glitch that is listed on that page. If you read the beginning of the third paragraph at the top of the glitches page, it will say:
wiki wrote:Furthermore, this article focuses on general glitches. Glitches that you will only encounter under very specific situations are documented on more specific articles: problems during a quest will be documented on that quest's article; problems that only occur in a given location will be described on that place's article; etc.

True that, but wouldn't it be way too big to fit in the notes(or bugs) section under the Ultimate Heist?

Simple solution, condense it.

So, would I have to repost the smaller version on the Ultimate Heist page, or would I need permission from a moderator to do that.

I don't think you would need a mod's permission to do so after all this is a wiki and it would be on subject for the page.

It helps if you read the history:
