Hello folks, we've discovered an issue with some emails (subscription/PM alerts, contacting user via email, possibly account activation, etc.) not being sent in the last few days. This seems to have similar effects to the issue that occurred last year. We've contacted Dave about the problem, so hopefully we'll get it sorted out soon.

Update: Dave made a change that should hopefully fix things. Does anyone with a Hotmail account want to be a guinea pig for him to send a test email to?

I'm hoping the various changes I made this week fixed the mail issue. At least there are no longer any mail bounced error messages in the log. If people are still not getting emails though just let me know.

I recently changed to an outlook account (bad idea!) and my activation email didn't arrive, so I had to email Admin to ask to be re-activated (thanks for that BTW). I guess there are still problems with using certain free email accounts.

Yup, I've been talking to Dave on that. Hotmail is filtering out messages sent from UESP yet for some reason; Dave was gonna try and get Microsoft's help on that. I probably should make it an announcement again - new thread probably- and add it to the FAQs on the forum.

It's not just UESP, I've had the same problem with other phpBB forums. Non-phpBB forums work fine.
