Entering Deepscorn Hollow at level 30 still nets you the level 25 Crimson Eviscerator. Obviously, without the unofficial DLC patch, getting this DLC at the beginning of the game will only ever get you the level 1 version, even if you enter later, so in theory, this patch improved the situation, but it did not appear to give it the best possible scenario. In the event that another mod is causing this bug, here is my load order:
