Once, playing in the Imperial Dungeons for the first time with success, in the first loot pile that I player comes across in the game, I clicked on it:

Guess what I found?:

Hidden:
An Ebony Sword and a Dwarven Helmet!

The character I had - Level 1 Redguard with a luck of 68.

After this, I have played many more characters, upgrading the luck attribute as I level up; but never again have I found something so special, so soon.

How much do you feel that luck has on the quality of loot, in your experience?

I'm not sure I've noticed-- but then, most of my characters have had only average luck. I did try saving my game just before looking at a pile of loot, so I could restore and try again until I liked what I got. But that gets to be pretty tedious very quickly, so now I just pick up the loot without worrying about what it contains. I'm currently playing a Thief character with better-than-average luck, so I'll start paying attention to this to see if I notice an improvement in the loot. Actually, come to think of it, I did seem to get some pretty good loot as I was making my way through the Imperial Dungeons-- except most of it was unusable for a Thief.

Luck doesn't affect anything in Arena except to hit rolls.

Oh, ok - it must have been a fluke then!

I don't think it affects at all. The initial dungeon has random loot and one of my characters found after reloads: Ebony Longsword and 2 ebony items. I do know that when questing for maps and artefacts, the loot in those dungeons are set the moment u enter them.
