I'm pretty sure its not.
It was the first artifact I went for in my last game, and afterwards I never saw word of it again.

The Elder Scrolls never ceases to amazing me.

Auriel's Shield, bow, spell breaker, chrysamere, staff of magnus and Volendrung also make an appearance in arena :3

-sigh- Some bad news, seems items vanish after being held in the repair too long, I need to re-get them :(

EDIT: I 'used' Auriel's shield and it gave me immunity from everything. I put the shield for repairs and hours later (200+ days game time) have received no damage from anything.....

Are you using the artifact repair exploit? If you put the artifact up for repair don't accept the repair offer. Instead select the option of "I can't afford it." and when he asks for the price put in 13 gold. Accept it even when he says it will take 1000+days. When you check on the status it will actually say 14 hours till repaired. Then its just a quick trip to a house or INN wait camp for 14 hours and then go pick it back up.

Dang, thought it would have been pretty cool to get 100 on all stats.

Can't you get 100 in all stats grinding?

That I am and I'm trying to get every repairable artifact in one go, you wouldn't believe how slow things wear when you actually want them to :p. So hoping they don't disappear until I do.

Just got the staff, the rumour for it mentioned the blades....that's amazing :shock:

Doesn't Arena have a level cap?

I tried doing just a quick search but could find no idication that there is a level cap. I think leveling would become a problem though if you leveled and had all attibutes at 100 because I don't think the game would let you continue without applying the new points. I just got to level 20 yesterday and I think the amount of exp to get to 21 is double what I already have. Then again since I am fighting multiple strong enemies almost every step of the way I just might be able to do it but I feel I am at the point that it wouldn't make much of a difference.

I would guess just asking about General Rumors and waiting for the Oghma Infinium pops back up. The game picks from a list of artifacts randomly.

Last night I finally made in into the final dungeon and then proceeded to die within the first few steps inside, then died in nearly every room. Lichs, Wraiths, Vampires everywhere and multiples of them too, so be very prepared when going in there. Took me a little more than an hour and a half to make my way down to Jagar Tharn. After dieing 8 times I was finally able to defeat him and freed the Emperor! Now I am guessing its time to start Daggerfall!

Congratulations. I know not if I would have the patience and time to beat Arena.
I'll see you in the Daggerfall thread. :P

Thank you! :D

Ah time can always be made lol. I would highly recommend at least playing alittle bit of it. Maybe just an hour or two ever other day or something. I kinda went all out once I started spending pretty much all my free time playing it which is why I finished pretty quickly. Who knows you might find that you enjoy it that you put aside the other games you are playing for the time just to play. Guess I will look into the Daggerfall thread lol, so far I have been reasearching all the character customazations. I am going to pretty much stick with what I love doing the most in Elder Scrolls which is sneaking and stabbing, but with some added magic which I had none of in Arena.

I am also going to being taking Daggerfall a little slower since its a bigger game, not only that I couldn't afford to play as hardcore as I did with Arena, almost to much lol.

I'm happy to say I have finally beat Arena! :mrgreen:

At lv20, Ebony blade, Auriel's bow + shield, Chrysamere, Warlock's ring, staff of Magnus, Volendrung and 5 Oghma Infinitums for 100 in each stat ^-^

To get on topic a bit, I never played Arena that much. What Arena does, Daggerfall seems to do better.

Even with maxed out stats I took a beating from anything that uses magic. At least without resist spells and/or Auriel's shield. Those wraiths are the worst, they have a habit of being in groups and tossing 5 fireballs at a time. That's instant death no matter how many Oghma's you find.

*shrug* That's why ya save constantly, I always thought. But different strokes for different folks, I used the exploitation to get four artifacts at once to beat the last four main quest dungeons, so I'm no better.

The Ring of Phynaster and Crysamere both have awesome buffs. I think Crysamere has a reflecting ability so those spells being shot at you get reflected back to the casters sometimes killing them before you even get to hit them. I recommend both of those artifacts.

I've found I've spent more time playing Arena simply because the fact it covers the entire continent makes it a little more interesting than Daggerfall's fairly generic setting. That being said, it's not all that difficult to get a little bored with either, compared to something like Morrowind, I find.

Been playing a lot of Daggerfall which I am almost done with and the one biggest thing I found between the two is Daggerfall has so many more bugs and crashes then Arena did. However the quests in Daggerfall are also a little more challenging espeically with the time limits seem to put a sense of urgency to completion. The time limits in Arena were never much concern to me since I would have more than enough time to complete.

Right, started Arena as a Redguard Knight called Everett. My favourite race in TES is Breton but Redguard just seems like the better choice for a pure warrior in Arena and Daggerfall. I don't want to try playing a mixed class in them, I'll just be destroyed. I'm planning to play through TES I-V in order. Going to carry the character into Daggerfall, by that I mean just make the same person again in Daggerfall like what I did with Morrowind and Oblivion. For some reason it hates my Windows 7 as going into full screen puts everything in a small box as opposed to making it bigger. I played it on Vista once and I remember it was fullscreen there. Here's a picture of what it is like except for someone else and in Daggerfall. My daggerfall is like that too. It is bigger just having it in window, pretty annoying as I like fullscreen. Anyway just got out of the starter dungeon and ended up in Hammerfell. Now to find Fang Lair.

Can't wait until I get to Morrowind.

Have you doubled checked your Dos Box options? The options I have the settings for are below. I always make it full screen with alt-enter.

fullscreen=false
fulldouble=false
fullresolution=original
windowresolution=original
output=surface
autolock=true
sensitivity=100
waitonerror=true
priority=higher,normal
mapperfile=mapper-0.74.map
usescancodes=true
