Shopping in Arena

Is there any way to see the stats of an item in a shopkeeper's inventory?

I haven't played Arena that much, but I don't believe you can, though the stats of all base equipment you can buy is listed here: http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Arena:Base_Weapons
