I think the mods issue balance themselves out. For every old mod that can't be used on SE, there's a new one that will. Big mods like Ordinator have been reissued for SE, and maybe (?) they will stop patching the old version.
I haven't bought SE because I wasn't sure if my ordinary graphics card ...

Re: Newbie needs help with Morrowind based character
Good point about the summons. I've looked up how to dismiss it, so from now on I won't be taking a clannfear into the Temple.
I have a destruction spell, and I now realise that there is no cooldown of spells, which means I can attack with my lightening, and block with the staff, until my M runs dry ...

Re: Newbie needs help with Morrowind based character
Thanks. I always like collecting plants and miss alchemy when I don't have it. And long live the summoned!
Tell me, when I wield a restoration staff (the only one I've got so far) facing a hostile, and click my mouse, does it damage them?

I think I will make a magicka sorcerer, following the preset Initiate. It seems to be one of the classes recommended for newbie soloist and hopefully she will be able to make her Pilgrimage around Vardenfell.

Newbie needs help with Morrowind based character
Hi. I'm just downloading the base game + Morrowind. I get my fun from my character's story, and from exploring and collecting materials (especially alchemical ones) , so my build only needs to be survivable in single player, not necessarily optimised for dungeons etc. I would like her to be born or ...

OK, I've found the problem. I thought it might be a disc problem so I've bought it again, on Steam, but still didn't work.

Can't run (disc)
Hi. I got out my old collectors edition disc and installed it on my PC When I try to run it, get as far as the launching screen, one sec of the Bethsada red on black screen, then get the Windows message saying there's a problem.

I find tapping the back of a knife across the middle works better than a bowl edge. Until you can crack and empty it into the bowl with a single one handed motion.

Thanks, yes I've played it through before but couldn't remember if you had a choice to say no. I think my character will stop short this time. Poor woman is very gimped with the moral "walk" she has chosen.

Just a glass one. My PC isn't a smith. Or a fighter. Or an enchanter. Not much of a looter either, but she will take anything Cosnach might use.

Good luck for this week!
By "get a life", do you mean, get a "real job". It does feel good, to have one of those, but it isn't the only thing that gives you value.
I bet you have time on your side though, many months and years to get where you want to be. I'm speaking as an Old Fart).

In Tamriel, history lives. Nothing is ever dead and buried, or forgotten.
I know my current dragonborn will not kill Parthanax, but I think I can understand Delphine, and I won't throw her to the Thalmor.

Why does Cosnach prefer a glass dagger over a 13 dam war axe, or a 14 dam mace? Is dps of the dagger better?

Re: Using the console to complete the Seven Graces quest?
Thanks. Late last night I found how to use the console, on this wiki of course, and it worked! I was too tired to post.
At least, I wrote the final journal entry, but not the Faction favour.
When asking about duties, this time they have given me the next one, so success.

Using the console to complete the Seven Graces quest?
I know very little about using console commands, but I'm stuck.
This is the order of happenings.
1.I talked to the Balmoral steward about the Seven Graces, but apparently did not get a book. However, I read their own copy.
2. Completed the Grace of Humility, Journal entry made, as in the quest log ...

Mage
I am thinking of making a temple follower who rises high, and then is corrupted by the heretics. I thought it would be fun to make a younger Aranea Lenith. (Yes I know, Outlander born :| )I would base it on her Skyrim build (elemental Mage with Distruction, Restoration, Alteration, Conjuration. )

Finally reunited with my Teldryn Sero. I'd thought he had been lost in a dream, but turns out the otherDB stole him when he stole 'my' dragon soul.
