Re: Skyrim General Discussion

I have a little question for you. I'm currently in Solstheim, trying to assassinate that damn loan shark Mogrul to stop him from sending those thugs after me all the time. But I seem to be unable to do so without being made. It feels scripted...I climbed the cliffs above Raven Rock, safely sneaking ...

Re: mod idea for commoner players

How about the DLC MQs? The Dragnoborn hinges on the fact that player is Dragonborn, and even in Dawnguard, the fact that player is a hero fated for the defeat of Alduin protects him from permanent effects of reading of Elder Scrolls, same way Nerevarine was protected from terminal effects of Corprus ...

Do cities feel small in Skyrim for you too?

I've played Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim, and this has been a bit bothering me. Skyrim cities feel small. Few people, few buildings. I can understand that they shouldn't be compared to Imperial City, but...even Balmora from Morrowind felt as big as Whiterun or Solitude. Vivec was at least as large ...

Re: Beginner's Questions About Skyrim

Here is a list of locations for Dragonborn that have safe storage.
Some of them aren't accessible til you initiate a quest, so not great for starting out (e.g. the Abandoned Lodge).

Thanks, though the only place from the list within Raven ...

A little quickie. I finally started Dragonborn and I'm wondering, what location or at least a container can I use for my storage at the beginning?

Re: Got into a wee little trouble with quest

Taking a Briar Heart from another Briarheart didn't work. I had to use console...oh well, doesn't matter. I got it fair and square.

Re: My new favorite Skyrim recipes

Wheat+Blue Mountain Flower is pretty much cookie-cutter healing potion, since you can grow both ingredients at home with HF and they're plentiful everywhere.

Red Mountain Flower+Jazbay+Dwarven Oil or Taproot makes a great magic booster. Fortify+regenerate+restore magicka, with two cheap and ...

Re: Got into a wee little trouble with quest

Does this sound like the issue:

If you have initiated the quest to find Red Eagle's sword, the same Forsworn Briarheart might be the target of both quests. It will carry both Red Eagle's sword and a briar heart. However, even if you pick up both, it will only complete the Red Eagle quest. You ...

Re: Got into a wee little trouble with quest

Mods...most of it is just the usual stuff. SkyUI, Unofficial patches...the only two other mods are Cloaks and Buffed Candlelight.

And for older save...the saves in which I don't have either of Red Eagle or Repairing the Phial quest active are damn old. So I don't really want to go there.

Got into a wee little trouble with quest

Repairing the Phial. After picking up a Briar Heart, it doesn't update. I have the remaining components. I tried going to the designated spot for the componenet and taking it from the boss, doesn't update either...probably becasue I have the Red Eagle quest active too.

So....does anyone know how to ...

Re: Saddest/Disturbing/Creepy moments in Skyrim

Blood on the Ice and whole Soul Cairn business from DG are two extremely creepy moments. In BotI, when you finally find out why, and Soul Cairn...well, you have to see. I don't want to go into details yet, because they'd spoil it.

Smaller magic mod?

So. I went back to Skyrim, decided to start anew...my last character grew far too powerful and it got boring. I've decded to try mage oriented character, but magic is rather underwhelming in vanilla. I'm not looking for something big or owerpowered, rather more balanced small....nothing like ...

Dammit. Been habitually using PrtSc for screenies, now I went to look at them and it turned out they're all messed up. Gotta start using Fraps again instead of relying on built-in function.

Re: The 'What happened to you today' thread

Been feeling down for a few days already, it took a turn for worse today at work (part time, I work weekends). Had to call in sick for tomorrow, now I'm sitting here with 38 degree fever, in a nest of pillows and whatever to keep warm and listening to music. Feel like watching something, just don't ...

28 by calendar, physically looking early 20-ish, feeling like 18 most of the time, except when my knees remind me of that additional weight I put on few years ago. Mentally, alternating between 15 and 50.

Yeah, enchanting is annoying. What I did was to store and fill every single soul gem I came across as well as various cheap weapons and armors I made when leveling Smithing, and when I was about level 40, stacked up mage stone, well rested and lovers stone (through Aetherium crown), disenchanted a ...

SheoXMolag. Definitely a colorful pairing, if you like the color of blood.

Sheogorath is like a fine wine. Goes with everything, and in large doses, makes you lose control and laugh maniacally.

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread

Well, for me there would be two things:
First, weapon variety. Bring back spears, give us polearms, shortswords, make distinct single and double bladed(headed for axes) weapons and throwing weapons.

Related to that, weapon modes. Switch between melee and ranged for throwing weapons, change grip to ...
