I have done both sides, but I rarely side with the Dawnguard. Isran is like an angsty teenager with a hate boner, which is definitely NOT attractive after age 20.

Hmm. I had never thought of him that way, but now that you say it, I agree. And I'll go one further and posit that the whole Dawnguard ...

Yep. Never did "Master Criminal" either. I also never sided with the Volikhar in Dawnguard. One of these days I'll make a new character and do that side of the quest line.

Jabberdave wrote:I fought a dragon yesterday and I ran away!

Coincidence?

Just outside of Brood Cavern. I wasn't doing any damage to it. The dragon wasn't having that problem with me.

I used to run away from dragons too.
Then I took an arrow to the knee.

please don't ban me...

it wouldn't have to be based on Dragonborns if it is a new amulet. It could be some other power granted by the gods to create a new amulet.

MUDCRABBORN!!!

With regard to the OP though, men didn't throw off the Dragon-rule so much because they were ruled by dragons, as because the dragons were ...

@Pilaf and Dark Spark:
IIRC city guards take part in the town sieges and when a town is captured the guards are replaced by the opposing side's soldiers (Stormcloaks or Legionaries). So even ignoring the Legion the Nords fight each other quite a lot. It is also possible that, since the Stormcloak ...

So according to Ordo Legionis : " The Legion selects candidates on the basis of superior endurance, the soldierly virtue, and trustworthy personality, the citizen's virtue, for service in the Legion is the model for the duties of Imperial citizenship. "

But that sounds like the optimal recruiting ...

That said, Morrowind would totally be an ex-Soviet Central Asian country. Long-lived strongmen, infertile land, xenophobic religious populace, a tribal political landscape left scarred by imperial conquest, climate change, and collapse.

"Morrowind is greatest country in the world, all other ...

Dragons have run away from me quite a few times. It's been a while since I last played, so I can't remember specifics, but at least one instance I did find a "wounded" runaway dragon. It was just lying on the ground somewhere, I attacked it and killed it. So I don't think they "despawn", at least ...

I get the impression that Ulfric is quite fond of the old man and is in the habit of looking the other way on some of his shenanigans. I can imagine him being a mentor of sorts for young Ulfric growing up, before and after his stint with the Greybeards, as the castle wizard in this type of setting ...

ARNGEIR! He's a philosopher, a diplomat, and a Von Trapp all in one.

Second place goes to Lydia, who, despite all her passive-aggressive whining, never actually refuses to carry my crap.

Pilaf is right, Akavir is based pretty heavily on East Asian mythology and culture, and while the designs of Cyrodiil and the Empire are in general based more on Rome than China, the Akaviri influence on the Empire brings a real East Asian influence to the Empire's design.

But I am unconvinced ...

I don't remember Phinis Gestor's exact words, but it's possible that the ban on necromancy may have been something "on the books" in Winterhold but never enforced by any of the College authorities. So Wuunferth may have been following official rules that no one would have ever punished him for ...

Congratulations Jeancey! Great prank! This was a lot of fun, I'm looking forward to next month's contest!

Hey Everyone! I've lurked uesp and the forums for years now, I love this site. I wasted far too many hours, more than I care to admit, browsing through here, but I never registered before. Anyway, I just wanted to say Hello!

Hey Everyone!
I wish I had seen this one sooner, I hope it's not too late to enter.
My entry is a story about a prank. It's pretty long.
For those of you who get to the end, I hope you at least get a few chuckles out of it!
