Well their racism for one. :D Actually, funny I just thought of this: Has anyone ever noticed that after you complete the civil war in the Empire's favor, one of the remarks you may get from Imperial guards is something along the lines of them being glad to control the east of Skyrim, in case they ...

Re: Can't become Thane? Please helpp!
Bounty missions for the Jarl don't count towards helping the people. You have to actually have to help x number of people from the hold. I think I remember having that same problem with becoming Thane of The Rift, though. I'd suggest helping as many citizens as you can, then talking to the Jarl ...

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I can see better than normal after the patch, but obviously there are some bugs that can occur. I guess all that can be done is wait for a fix, it's not like you go underwater much anyway.

Re: Torygg & Ulfric Duel etc (possible spoilers)
My bad. When I said fight to the death, I was assuming we'd rule out magic or poison/stealth tactics since we're talking about Nords. I see no reason why the Thu'um would not be allowed. Almost every great ancient hero of the Nords through time has used the Thu'um. True, Ulfric's use of it was ...

Re: Lydia turned vampire and I had to kill her...
I was about to agree with Gideon about the dying then being resurrected thing...but that doesn't explain her using draining magic. Must have been a glitch. Those happen now and again in these games.

Re: 50 Reasons Why Skyrim is the Best Elder Scrolls Game Eve
First ES I played was Morrowind GOTY on PC. Awesome game. I can't even imagine how many hours I put into it. I got Oblivion for PS3, thought it was lame, traded it in. About a year later went back and bought the GOTY edition(also on PS3) and played the crap out of it. It was a good game, it had it's ...

Re: The Stormcloaks
There are arguments for and against both sides, that's why I love the civil war questline. Like a few above me have mentioned, it usually depends on the character I'm playing. Having said that, even though he's a racist and still technically loyal to an Imperial figure(Talos), I'd still pick Ulfric ...

Re: Is anyone else having trouble seeing underwater?
I play on PS3, and the 1.5 patch has made everything underwater-related better. That's one of the improvements 1.5 added. Better transition, better sight. Before underwater just looked like a big murky haze, you couldn't see 2 feet in front of your face, or see through the surface of the water ...

Re: Torygg & Ulfric Duel etc (possible spoilers)
My personal opinion is that Ulfric was within rights to use the Thu'um, but he shouldn't have challenged Torygg in the first place. Torygg had a lot of respect for Ulfric, and, as I've said before, I think he probably would have made him an adviser of some sort, if Ulfric had just asked. Instead ...

Re: When the flip is DLC coming out?
Todd Howard made it sound like they plan to add in little sweet nothings in patches in between big DLC releases. The new cinematic kills/camera angles added in 1.5 lead credence to that. When 1.5 comes to the PS3, those beauties will breathe more than enough new life into the game to tide me over ...

Re: Torygg & Ulfric Duel etc (possible spoilers)
Just because duels in our world have specific rules, does not mean the duels in ES are the same. From the way they are talked about in game, I'd say a duel is just basically someone challenging someone else, and then fighting to the death. Ulfric's challenge and subsequent killing of Torygg was ...

Just got the Platinum earlier tonight, so I don't really have any goals to work towards atm. This sounded like such a fun idea that I (finally) made an account just participate in this! Haha
