Re: Will we ever see another TES Travel?

That's a scary thought. Skyrim on mobile in 2022, anybody? Scratch that, we'll have complete virtual reality tech by then. The forums will be an actual tavern on Tamriel... I'll stop fantasising now.

Re: Will we ever see another TES Travel?

Beth (rather, ZeniMax) would surely outsource an iOS/Android game to a mobile developer. As it's been said many times already, it's highly unlikely, but speculation is what Tamrielites do...

Re: Will we ever see another TES Travel?

I didn't realise there were so many bitter feelings towards them. I feel TESO will have more potential than more Travels would for a negative impact on the franchise - it's miles more popular now when it was towards the end of the 90s when BS/RG almost bankrupted Beth. Like I said (but I still can't ...

Re: Will we ever see another TES Travel?

Considering Bethesda renewed the trademark on 'Redguard', perhaps we'll see a mobile version soon?
Heh, I didn't realise I was still subbed to this thread.

I hadn't heard they'd renewed "Redguard". I expect it's because of TESO, or much less likely TES VI (I don't think it'll be set in Hammerfell ...

My mistake - I must have misread something elsewhere, because the lore article on Sithis agrees with what you said.

Re: Races of the Trans-Akavir Island Men? (Esroniet, etc.)

From what I remember the Tsaesci, as discussed already, are keen on devouring - however literal that is - their enemies. As it's been suspected they have weather-control magicks at their disposal, it would not be impossible for them to possess the ability to absorb to some extent the traits of their ...

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?

There is potential in a frozen wasteland if after all this time it is still the same. Who is to say the proto-Nords aren't still up there? If there is money to be made then yes. I'm not suggesting they stop producing other games but they should begin allocating part of their staff to begin this ...

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread

I'm calling it now. TES VI: Dominion, set in the Summerset Isle and Valenwood (possibly just part of the latter, or added as a DLC). Featuring the epic battle between the Thalmor and the Empire, Mer versus Man, for control over the future of Tamriel. Returning to the alien look-and-feel last seen ...

Re: Why do they all attack me for killing a chicken?

I haven't played Morrowind yet. I'm wondering, why is Fargoth so hated?
He has this strange habit of hiding valuables in a not-so-secret place then wondering how his items get "misplaced". Also, he gets far too friendly with the player when he or she does him a favour. That's the main thing. He's ...

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?

Huntershound, remember that the last proto-Nords leaving Atmora are recorded as saying that it had become a frozen wasteland. I think it's rather lost. Well, not lost as such like most of Yokuda is, but not, like I said, open to tourists. I have to reiterate, though: do you seriously expect Beth to ...

Re: "Purpose" of the Dark Brotherhood

Thanks for that, collectro; I seemed to remember Sithis being an aspect of, or somehow related to, Padomay (the primordial chaos of the Beginning Place, right? I need to brush up on my mythic history).

they are the same

I read again recently though that Sithis is noted as ...

Re: Races of the Trans-Akavir Island Men? (Esroniet, etc.)

I share the idea of Akavir in general being Asian in its inspirations. We have the obsession and history with dragons, its position as a mysterious land to the east, and its past relations with the west. Does that sound familiar, knowing how TES draws on real-world comparisons? Furthermore the ...

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?

I really don't want elsweyr and valenwood combined into one game.. imagine all the more content if they where separate.
True, but given the size of them (not that this has much of an effect seeing as game world sizing is hugely inaccurate from game to game) and immediate proximity of them (I don't ...

Re: Races of the Trans-Akavir Island Men? (Esroniet, etc.)

I do remember an anecdote about that - something to do with the Akaviri pirate invasion, when the locals fortified in the estate whose name I've forgotten. Damn you, Beth, and your teasing hints at mysertrious vulpine and rodent and canine species! That in itself is something to think about, but it ...

Re: Where do you want Elder Scrolls VI to be?

I am sick of this "whole of Tamriel"/"whole of Nirn" thing. I know a good deal of us would sell internal organs and wait a decade to see it come to fruition, but the fact and the matter is that they don't have the resources to do it. Just speaking of what we'd like, though, then yes, that would be ...

Re: Brisalkar a new nation(strong critism acceptable)

Firstly, in terms of writing, the grammar needs some work, but I can see you have some ideas in place and are obviously quite dedicated. The Thalmor aspect is believable since they have a good deal of influence now in Valenwood and Elsweyr. The factions, however, seem slightly over-developed ...

Re: The Official TES VI Wishlist thread

I can't think of anything other than existent QA. I realise games on the scale of TES are pretty much bound by the laws of nature to be teeming with bugs, but it's actually held me off playing Skyrim.

In terms of actual features, seeing pole-arms and crossbows again would be neat. However if they ...

Re: What is the lifespan of the Orcs?

Orcs are considered to have had a curse thrown on them that significantly shortened their lifespans during an early war with the Nords. While they're technically mer, I'd put them as living shorter lives than men - maybe 45 years.
That's interesting. I knew the whole Trinimac event altered their ...

Re: "Purpose" of the Dark Brotherhood

As evidenced by their employment by the nobility throughout the lands, I'd say their purpose is to provide the subtle "removal" of certain persons of interest. Their cause, on the other hand, has already been explained by others in the thread - their duty to Sithis, etc.

Races of the Trans-Akavir Island Men? (Esroniet, etc.)

As we know the Emperor invaded and occupied several islands between the Tamriel and Akavir, using them as naval bases - Esroniet, Cathnoquay, Yneslea, and one or two others - during the botched conquest of Tsaesci. My question is, what is the racial origin of these men? I just re-read the Commission ...

Re: Most of Tamriel's Landmass Generated Beyond Skyrim's Bor

Someone mentioned Solstheim; I think that would be cool, seeing as how the Dunmer population is/was entrenched there sometime after the events of IV.

Morrowind would of course be awesome, but given that we're talking about its entirety - it being right on Skyrim's border rather than just ...
