As I said elsewhere, I don't really fuss about voice actors. As far as I'm concerned, most of the NPCs could be silent, with subtitles only. In fact I wish some people be silent, like the Talos priest in Whiterun.
As for the cities, Morrowind and Oblivion cities were big enough to give the feeling ...

Re: What would you improve on skyrim?
Bigger cities, and a lot more NPCs.

Re: Opinions on the best male to marry... I'm undecided
I'm playing a Dunmer, but so far I've been far too busy to think about it =) (that's her excuse anyway)
And BTW I love what they look like, I find it an improvement over both Morrowind and Oblivion, the only detail I miss was the possibility for blue skin along with black.
As for husbands, I'm ...

Re: Dunmer and the Great War (lore spoilers)
For what is worth, an NPC in Markarth told my Dunmer character that "we elves" banished the worship of Talos. Now, whether there is any truth to the involvement of the Dunmer or he was simplifying things (pointed ears = enemy), I'm not sure.

Re: What Can You Enchant?
Fortify Archery can be applied to helmet, gauntlets, ring, and maybe necklace (sorry, not 100% sure on the latter). I have noticed that Fortify 1H and 2H can be applied on boots, but I am not sure if that is in addition to all the slots available for archery or if one of them is not available to ...

Re: What would you rate skyrim/oblivion?
Skyrim: 8/10.
Great graphics, very nice combat pacing, I'm glad to be rid of Athletics and Acrobatics to be honest, I love the perk system, and I love Smithing, but the settlements are too tiny (you call those cities?), the NPCs too few, I sorely miss the Spell Maker, the UI is lacking in many ...

Re: Where's a dog and a Lydia replacement?
I don't know about archer companions, but I think you could find one that suits your needs in Dawnstar. He has strong destruction spells, though I haven't seen him heal himself.

Re: Anyone able to rename custom enchanted items? (PC)
I think that the level is based more on the soul gem than your enchanting level. So even though your skill might be high, a petty soul gem still isn't going to go far.
Fair enough, I don't want it to go far, I just want to replicate Novice quality items already in the game. And for the record I ...

I think that the quest updated for me when the leader died. Sounds like a bug to me.

Re: Dragons
It's rather disappointing when you fight dragons when you have the Disintegrate perk. They just fall apart and turn into a small pile of ash. No big skeleton or fancy soul-absorbing animation.
Ouch! Do you get the loot and the soul though? I was going for that perk but now I'm starting to ...

Re: In my time of need quest
I made a different choice than others previously posted.
I chose to side with the woman and kill the Alik'r. My reasoning was this: when they first 'hire' me, they sound rather suspicious, plus the city guards react to them like they were bandits. Yes, you could say that Nords are hardly the most ...

Re: Anyone able to rename custom enchanted items? (PC)
I'm afraid I don't have a solution. It works for me. It actually took me a while to figure out that I first need to press OK on the enchantment details (weapon), then I will be able to rename before I press R to actually craft it. But apart from that it seems to be working.

Well, I found this book on the origin of the world (Children's Anuad maybe? not sure), and it turns out that Men are descendants of one of the Mer races anyway .
