Boost your Willpower and Luck and you might even succeed when you try to cast it.
Luck is a something I always ignored in improvement. At the end, when everything else is 100, except luck, I start raising it. Am I wrong in doing that? I started at 40 this time, and it's still 40. It's never like ...

If you're going to potion up your Intelligence, you might as well potion up your Fatigue/Fatigue Recovery, too.
Well, no, that is just for a limited time of recovery; I wanted a constant effect. If I potion up my intelligence for a limited time, I am able to enchant more succesfully during that ...

raise intelligence incredibly high with potions to enchant on your own.

oh and you dont' need an exquisite ring for stamina. i think some clothes will do. and they only need slight enchantment. like 1-7 pts constant effect. then you just equip reequip until oyu get 5 or 6 points and bam you have ...

Don't feel stupid, it took me a long time to figure out when I first began that my spell points couldn't exceed my magicka points. I always wondered why I couldn't cast it but I had the ability to create a strong spell.
Thanks. Maybe I am not that stupid after all.
Do you want to know what else I ...

Tip concerning improving magicka

Am I just plain stupid, or what? It took me some time, like playing Morrowind for the 4th time, but NOW I realise why some spells do not work but after considerable playtime. I thought: I bought it, it has to work; I bought it for a considerable amount of money after all, did't I?
My amount of ...

Yes, very sure! That's not it either.

maybe they have to be human?
I thought about that too, but that's not the case. The same creatures in a row, like Nights of Order, or creatures made to defend stronger characters; sometimes yes, sometimes no. I even thought it might have something to do with first a hit with another weapon like ...

SI: dawn/duskfang

This two-in-one blade is supposed to add up the lives it took, up to twelve, to change into Superior weapon(s) the next dawn of dusk it appears. I can't figure it out: sometimes it kills and the life does NOT count and sometimes it does. I feel cheated when I kill, kill, and kill a third time, and ...

It's said to be 25% the size of Cyrodiil.
I would not say so. I figure it's less than that, let's say just about 20%. But.. not all of the space in Oblivion is fully used; the eastside of Oblivion is not exactly well inhabited. Compare that 20% with the south-southwest-west of Oblivion.
There is ...

Go to The Elder Scrolls pages, open Oblivion (not Shivering Isles).
You can find Maps under quest information. Open the online map of SI, mark alle the locations in the right sidebar, and you get a pretty good idea.

In that case I did discover a bug indeed.
72 game hours = just 3 days. I am wandering around much longer than that.

Re: Any houses available to buy in Shivering Isles?

So are ther any? Been boppin' around for a while now with the Grey Cowl on, but I'd like to walk about without it too, which isn't going to happen any day soon if I can't get to a house that's nearby. (I know I can still go back to Cyrodiil, but still; a house in Shivering Isles wouldn't be that ...

If he is the same person in both the main game and SI, his name is Wes Johnson. Found it on www.imdb.com

Edit: Yup, found it. His name is for sure Wes Johnson. Cheched out gamespot, and looked under credits for SI. http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/elderscrollsivshiveringisles/tech_info.html?om_act ...

What's the big deal about finishing the quest early? So what if the Oblvion gates close? After a while, Oblivion planes are boring as heck. they are basically the same pattern over and over. And frankly, at level 28 or so, I have no use for any of the sigil stones. I think I have liks six on me ...

I'm not bored at all so far, and haven't touched the main quest yet. My main goal has been to explore the different cities and countryside, and then try to solve some of the smaller quests I come across. I guess I'm not in a hurry to finish the game since I know that like many other games, new ...

The problem is you assume "start strong, and keep getting stronger". The keyword here is "levelled enemies". You start strong and slowly get stronger, but in the meantime enemies overpower you rapidly. The trick to stay alive in Oblivion is to start quite weak and grow your strength very carefully ...

After the main quest it kind of gets boring i think they should make an expansion anyone agree.?!

It is helpfull to discuss the (very) various possibilities and get the most out of your starting position. How your character develops after that is another question. The question for a beginner is (when you don't know how to play the game, how should you know??): what is the best ...

Of course you are right about: there is no best race of sign. I know that. But that is no reason for NOT answering a question and make nasty remarks. Maybe it is a brandnew player, who did not play Morrowind first. You know as well as I do that choosing a character is rather complicated if ...
