I think that Morrowind is overall a better game than Oblivion, but Oblivion is definitely better balance.

In Morrowind you start out pretty useless, and can't kill a damn rat with swinging at it with a battleaxe 20 times, but at least your character in Oblivion can at least swing a sword and kill ...

If your Alchemy skill is very low, then you won't know the effects of alchemy ingredients, hence the question marks. You can fix this by improving your Alchemy skill.

The higher your alchemy skill, the more effects of an ingredient will become available and you'll notice less effects with ...
