Re: Fallout 4
That's precisely the same problem I have. Overall, I think F4 is the best in the series, but the Shaun/parent/you'll-be-who-we-tell-you-to-be nonsense puts a serious damper on the role-playing. They've got to cut this crap out, and hopefully the negative response they're getting will finally make ...

Re: Fallout 4
For Settlement Attack missions, I think it's just the Defense rating. You want to have a defense rating equal to least the sum of your food, water, and population; e.g. a settlement with 10 residents, 30 food, and 40 water should have an 80 defense minimum. Doubling the defense seems to eliminate ...

Re: Star Wars
Could someone list the expanded universe (books, animated shows, games, etc), and what order to read/do them in? I'm interested in seeing more of Star Wars (though I've heard that the new film makes the books non-canon).
The expanded universe consists of the following:

Ah, but you're forgetting
that little brat is on his way out! He's dying of cancer, and won't be around for long regardless of what you do. True, Shaun would be a problem, IF siding with the Institute meant dealing with Shaun for the foreseeable future. But it doesn't. Assuming you don't kill ...

Re: Fallout 4
Companions gain affinity gradually over time; I haven't tested this, but I'd assume that if you left your game running for twenty hours straight, you could max relations without lifting a finger. It's nice that they included that, too, because otherwise I'd never have been able to befriend Strong ...

Re: Star Wars
I think the answer is far simpler...
It's a JJ Abrams film, and it's full of plot holes.
Honestly,
I think we'll find that the reason why Luke is hanging out alone on an island, is simply because the island looks cool, and the writers wanted Luke to be a macguffin. At the moment there's no ...

Re: Fallout 4
I can't remember when I got to Diamond City, but I doubt I was below level 15. IIRC, I'd heard that there were a few companions to unlock in Diamond City, so I made it a point to go there a little bit quote-unquote "early", but I didn't really start doing Diamond City/Main quests in earnest until I ...

Those are neat; you seem to have a penchant for building very large block houses, and pixel art is rare to see (hopefully patches and/or mods will fix the absurd power requirement).

Fallout 4 - Post Your Commonwealth
Settlement-building is a big part of Fallout 4. Here's a thread to discuss that aspect of the game.

Re: Fallout 4
Danse is a doofus, but he's endearingly doofy, especially once you hit the third and fourth relationship threshold. One of the reasons why I'm not following through with any of the end-game quests is because I suspect that, without mods, the game will turn Danse against me if I start shooting up the ...

Settlements are a HUGE part of the game. I've spent at least half of my playtime building crap so far. Curie is my waifu, too. I got her somewhat later in the game - after I'd maxed relationships with Piper and Cait - but of my three concubines she's the one I use the most. She lives at Kingsport when I'm not using her (along with Rylee and Tina de Luca), but I almost always use her, especially now ...

Yeah, I like the Anchorage haircut. It's basically JT Marsh's haircut from Exo Squad, and I'm guessing based on the name that it was in-regulation for the US Army, so it works on an RP level.

I love what you did to the upper levels of the Taffington house! I know how you feel; the Boathouse is a great settlement, and that was my "personal base" too... at least for the first half of the game, until I unlocked Kingsport. Taffington's still an important operations center, however: Piper and ...

So since this seems to be the cool thing to do nowadays, I'm opening my own art shop! Re: Thuro's "Art" + {Open} The UESP portrait shop
You don't need anything fancy for shading! Real swag shading is best done with stuff like charcoal or nonstandard density graphite, but as long as you've got a pencil that can make lines, you can shade! At the absolute worst, like if all you've got on hand is an ink pen that won't allow you to vary ...

OK, I've mentioned this already, and as I said before, you're free to disregard this advice. But I was doing a pencil study to help prepare for my next painting, and I thought I could maybe illustrate my point about the importance of paying attention to photographing and scanning. Same picture, two ...
