Well first of all I'd say "good producer" is a massive understatement. There are very, very few people in the entire music industry today that produce better than Kanye. While he's not on par with the absolute best MCs he's a good rapper and more very distinct. And while a lot of people would shrug it off as unimportant the guy knows exactly how to project his image right. Honestly, if you can listen to all of My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and say it wasn't very good at any point then there must be something wrong with you.

Keep the truth type words flowing. My nigga got an ego, but god damn if he isn't an impressive ass artist to back that ego up. Homeboy know what the [&@%!] he doing and rocks it almost every single god damn time. Even the songs I dont' like are still good, but it's just that i don't like em.

Bliss and Eso are really good. I really like Golden Years.
Kanye is pretty damn good, and you can't say he isn't. He is one of the better modern rappers, and his music actually has some meaning to it.
A lot of today's rap is crap (bigger fan of the 90's) but I have started to like A$AP Rocky. He has really good flow.

He's okay. I just did. No he's not (producer maybe, big maybe). It definitely doesn't.

Perhaps the stuff you hear on the radio may be classed as crap. Though the whole genre hasn't gone to [&@%!], not yet anyway.

Running On Air as a whole is top notch no question about it.

Running On Air is definitely my favourite of their albums; contains most of what, in my opinion, are their best songs specifically Reflections and Addicted.

Y'all claim to be rap fans but how many of you can say you listened to five rap albums in one day? As of today I can.

Perhaps I should rephrase that last part. SOME of his music has meaning.
Veck, what were the albums?

I listen to the equivalent of that, if not more depending on my travel time, each day. Ipod on shuffle or a Pandora station going for hours at a time. So I can.

Okay so Kanye just dropped his new album which I assume people are going to want to talk about.

My opinion on it, and I'll be brief, is that he was trying to do something a bit different, mix it up a bit, and ultimately failed in the end (If you are judging it as a hip hop album that is, Goth ravers everywhere should love this.) To me it was just the usually Kanye rapping over real synth-y beats that aren't typical to hip hop and that I didn't like all that much (But gets you a great rating on Pitchfork, seemingly.)

From what I've heard of it so far it's ballin' as [&@%!]. I don't care what none of y'all say, Kanye's still got it going. I've heard most other people that actually like him instead of those who listened to Gold Digger a couple of times and called themselves fans say the same.

I need to take time to sit down to listen to Yeezus, but the little bit I've heard so far has been a bit....meh. Maybe this album just isn't really my style, 808's fell a bit short in my opinion since it was generally kinda mopey, and this just sounds a bit too out there. Again, I've only heard a bit, but I plan on giving it all a listen before passing judgement.

If anyone's wondering why I haven't given my opinion yet, it's because I haven't heard it. I might have a listen... Depends on how highly people speak of it. Despite being a big Kanye fan, if most people are saying that it sucks, I won't bother listening to it.

I have always preferred the 90's rap anyway.

To try and kick some new life into this thread:

http://www.complex.com/music/2013/10/best-recent-rap-albums/

If it wasn't for them putting bloody Drake and Rick Ross on the list I'd be right behind them. I mean come on guys, Rick Ross actually being considered good? No, just no.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeh, he gets a lot of hate he doesn't deserve (although it is kind of his fault for basically getting famous off an Odd Future diss track) but I don't think he's the prodigy people make him out to be at all. Still, he beats Rick Ross.

Anyone else heard of Epidemic (HexOne + Tek-Nition)? I've been listening to them now a while; ever since they released Monochrome Skies last year. They're probably the best group still releasing hip hop, at the moment. Here's their latest single; came out a few days ago:

I can't find a youtube video for the song; this'll have to do.

I totally agree with your opinion on Bliss and Eso and Kanye. Their music has substance and really speaks to what's going on in the world. I'm also a big fan of the 90's rap, but I think A$AP Rocky has a great flow and some really catchy beats. I think he's definitely one of the more underrated artists out there.
