The issue you're having is not specific to the Sacred East release, but to Tamriel Rebuilt on the whole, If I'm understanding you correctly. What may have happened is that your Morrowind.ini file may not have been properly updated to load the .bsa files for Tamriel Rebuilt.

If this is the case, I would expect you to be getting this error message:
Quote:
Failed to load snowflake: Meshes\BM_Snow_01.nif

To remedy the situation, you'll need to make sure that the section labelled [Archives] in your .ini file reads similar to this:
Quote:
[Archives]
Archive 0=Tribunal.bsa
Archive 1=Bloodmoon.bsa
Archive 2=TR_Data.bsa

If not, are you getting a message similar to:
Quote:
This application has failed to start because d3dx9_40.dll was not found

The archive comes with all the right folders. Unzip it to the Morrowind directory and everything should end up in its right place. If you're unsure about this, unzip the archive to a folder somewhere (My Docs or the desktop) and look at what you have there. There should be a Data Files folder. Simply copy and paste it into the Morrowind directory. Run BSAREG.EXE, or manually register the new bsa file.

Don't forget to enable TR_Data.esm and TR_Mainland.esm in the game splash screen.
