Yay for being mentioned! :P

Anyway here's what yours truly recommends:

1. Better Heads (repalces the crappy looking heads)
2. Better bodies (No more 5 piece bodies!)
3. Book Rotate (Essential for Lore addicts like me that want books that stand up)
4. Bottle Rotate (Erm same as above, for alcoholics)
5. Animal Behaviour (Stops those suicidal rats and fish from attacking you unless mad with disease)
6. House of Mannequins (For displaying your collection of armours and the like)
7. Book Jackets (Much better then better books. Makes them look really pretty!)
8. Improved No-glow (Magical items don't look like someone went mad with glitter anymore)
9. Better Clothes (makes everything fit in with the graphics mods)
10. Darknut's weapon/armour/creature textures(look the same as the original just higher resolution, the detail is improved)
11. Better Beasts (Better bodies for beast races!)

20. Julan Ashlander Companion mod. (It's one of the best companion mods I've ever seen and it adds soooo much to the main quest it's ridiculous. Not to mention some of the funniest dialogue ever.)
21. The LGNPC mods including Less Generic Nerevarine, LG Tribunal, and LG Bloodmoon (Less Generic NPC's. Adds a lot of depth to the game and some nifty new quests.)
22. All of the Astarsis Head Replacers. (Very beautiful work)
23. Children of Morrowind
24. Westly's Master Head Pack
25. Ravenloft (A huge house usable for storage and some other unique things)
26. Real Moons and Real Stars (A definitely awesome texture update for the night sky)

30. Living Cities of Vvardenfell a.k.a LCV

at night)

31. Ultimate Galleon(lets you sail around
a beautifull ship in real time)

Would it be possible to add links for all these suggestions? Not that I don't intend to spend days searching for my newly reinstalled Morrowind, but...

Google them, they'll be there :D

Or simply look them up on http://www.planetelderscrolls.com

This site is brilliant for getting nearly any mod you could want.

Haha, make my first attempt to play a modded game difficult, go ahead. :P But this list is great, and I really appreciate it - so keep adding to it!

Yea, it is. The stupid display case lids don't close once you open them.

My textures aren't working right now, but I've noticed that the yellow diamond doesn't move back. :D

Yes. I believe all I need to do is to copy the textures. I'm too lazy to do it now.

I'd suggest Uvirith's Legacy for anyone playing a Telvanni. It really does expand the stronghold, not to mention adding lots of different Telvanni quests. I don't see it as too unbalanced, and it does have a teleport ring to take you back to the stronghold which is really nice :) Adds a dremora companion, which is cool if you like companions (I'm not a huge fan) as well as a few other companions, and it gives you the chance to order around not only your mouth, but your own apprentice as well :Twisted Evil:

Returning to Morrowind after a brief fling with it back in the day and looking for some lists / pointers / guides as to the best mods out there. Are there any must have mods? Saw something about a graphic enhance mod(s) which made it look like Oblivion but not sure of the name if anyone could enlighten me on that.

Thanks

Read through this page. It's a step-by-step instruction guide into installing Morrowind with graphics mods, sky replacers, texture replacers, and just a ton of things to enhance the look and feel of the game, all while leaving the game itself alone. It has links to absolutely everything which he checks fairly regularly. If they don't work, you'll at least have the name of the mods so you can find them yourself. On another page (linked from that page) the author goes into other mods that alter the game mechanics as suggestions. I don't use everything on that page, but I use quite a few.

I'm on Windows 7 64. Had a look at Wyre Mash for Oblivion and got put off for by the complexity. Messing around with the mod manager seemed hard enough work, will have another look though

That Morrowind Expanded guide is just what I was looking for, cheers for that.

Welcome to the Forum, beardedwonder.

"The best mods"... what an intriguing question. There are tons of mods out there, and I was about to give you my list, but then I decided to leave it up to you to build your own one. :D All the lists suggested by others are good ones.

I give you one small mod, rarely seen in any lists, but one of my favorites: Faster. It makes you move faster than the original turtle speed in Morrowind, yet not lightning speed, but realistic: http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/V ... il&id=7909.

Happy hunting and jumping. :)

It seems to be a pretty valid page, although I will stick to the references I have made this far. But one thing I cannot understand is the use of a certain type of language... English may well be the most beautiful language, why not use it? Why use words for excrements, and stuff like that? It would be so very easy to express your meaning with higher level words... but no. Some people, obviously, just have to discuss matters at the level of a bull?

But thanks, Scozzar, for the link and info. And do forgive me for my nag, ok? :)
