Mine, personally is Imperial. I know Imperial is just the generic one, but thats what I've made since forever. The next thing that I'd probably make would be either Redguard or Dark Elf.

What about you? What do you prefer? Why do you prefer it?

Mine is the Dunmer. They're some of my favourites to use in-game, and they have an expansive history filled with many awesome events. They've got a great personality, in my opinion, and they're elves! You usually don't get all of those awesome things in an elf! Well, unless you're Legolas, but not every elf is Legolas.

I have a tendency to make Bretons, I guess because they are the most appealing to the eye.

.... Main character.
 I do not have a main character. I've got 3 saves going at the moment and they all got around 20 hours playing time.
I've had over 30-40 characters with 10-200 hours playing time.

My first character was an Imperial though and at the moment I've got a Dark Elf (an Assassin), High Elf (a Battlemage) and a Nord (a Monk).

Most of my characters were High Elves so I guess I go with that one.

Nice man, what I really meant was your favorite character if not your main.

Bretons is pretty much the most overpowered race in the game. They can nullify magic easily not even by doing anything and if you can get another 25% even Resist it's like trying to kill a Dunmer with Fire.

bretons, as stormscape said they are overpowered, hence why i like them.. after all all you need is the 'Mundane Ring' and your character is completly immune to magic.

You like speed and jumping, don't you? Is that why you have a Mirror's Edge avatar? :P

I like khajit as well, though mainly for looks. It's no fun running around as something that looks normal, and khajit just look better than argonians.

Wow... am I the only one who has a Redguard main? The resist poison and disease are both really handy, plus the adrenaline rush is infinitely better than an orc's berserk. Also, with the help of my armor, I have about 103 athletics and 152 speed, so I can outrun a black horse. Besides, combat specialization classes are the easiest to use, especially with a weapon enchanted to absorb health.

Yeah I was thinking of picking a Redguard because of the advantages, but I picked Imperial instead. I almost picked the Redguard just because of the +25 on the Basketball attribute, but I figured I wouldn't be playing much Basketball in Oblivion, lol. :P

My favorite was a wood elf. The little bugger was sneaky and owned with his bow. Did most of the game with him then realized he didnt really look the part so I trashed him. He was fun while he lasted though

Well, my main currently is an orc... I don't see him on the list though :(

I picked him because I wanted a fighter, and orcs always make a good fighter, plus I like the 25% magic resist innate.

Oh I am so sorry! How noobish of me! Duh... I forgot about Orcs! :(

But now looking at the poll, I put "Modded Race (for PC users)" on there, but that choice isn't showing up.
I put the options in the poll based on a map of Tamriel that I was looking at. Totally my bad... I am so sorry.

I used to play as a Dunmer, but lately I always go for Breton. I like using magic.

Redguard for me. The adrenilin rush is a good power and the resist disese and poison is also extremily usefull. I actually forgot you could get disese so when I made a new charicter and attacked a rat and got brainrot I was shocked.

Personally, my fave 'race' would be the Dark Elf, Dunmer, which is closely followed by the High Elf, Altmer

Either Dunmer or Orc.

I hate Khajiits in Oblivion. I WANT CLAWS!

Actually, i love them in Oblivion, but i prefer Morrowind Khajiits.

the resist disease abilities of the other races become irrelevant pretty soon in the game. for 50 magicka Cure Disease does the job.

Frst time i got diseased was the day i realized you COULD eat ingredients. No Vile Lair, and infamy too high (to say nothing of bounty)...

Took me a minute to realise what the first effect of mandrake root was.

I do not main any, I hate them all equally :P

Anyhow, what I mean is that right now, I have going:

. A Nord Warrior/Bowman who uses Alteration
. An Imperial Thief
. A Redguard Crusader
. A Redguard Lightly armoured Warrior
. An Imperial Paladin
. A Dark Elf Dark Paladin (Or "Overlord" )

And I plan on many more, using each and every race, however, my two favorite’s are:

. Imperial's: Don't know why, but I use them alot.
. Nord's: Their big, tough and resist cold, which is me in a nutshell

But I chose Imperial, because as I said, I use them alot.
