yeah, originally i went with an argonian cuz they seemed the most original, but i strongly considered a khajiit. My RL friend, Ryuhza, whose on here occasionally started with an argonian but his highest lvl character was a khajiit named Haya!. But Poison Immunity and Underwater Breathing really do help.

oh im learning the poison immunity rocks. i love being able to dungeon crawl the ayleid ruins and see that green mist and be able to calmly walk through it.

yeah, i tried playing a Redguard and i couldnt stand not being able to stay underwater longer then 20 seconds or so

I made my character "racist" to Argonians, just for roleplaying intentions though... Not really. Hehe...

My character hates Argonians so much, he has an Argonian Heart sitting on his kitchen table!

after being forced to kill Teinaava and Ocheeva i used the console to set up a little altar in Ocheeva's Quarters where their hearts reside. to make the altar i just used prop candles. dont remember how tho, id have to look it up

Making a Water Breathing potion or spell is very easy. But I guess some people are just being lazy, including myself sometimes .

If you'r an Argonian, you never need to worry about water breathing.

It's like the Atronach birthsign, if you do not pick it, your magicka regenerates and you never have to worry about how to restore it.

Until you have to run around in a circle waiting for it to regenerate while an enemy is wailing on you.

Yes but after you've played for a while, it'll regenerate very quickly thanks to your 100 Willpower and you'll be carrying around 50 Strong Potions of Sorcery bound to a hotkey.
As an Atronach player, you'll have a lot of Magicka at that time but you constantly need to use potions, wayshrines etc.

The Atronach birthsign is fun, don't get me wrong The 50% Spell Absorption is great and you can easily achieve 100% Spell Absorption.

But as a, for example, Breton with the Mage birthsign, you'll have much less to worry about. And if you pick up a Mundane Ring you'll have 100% Resistance to Magic and you can enchant your items with whatever you want, you don't need to spare some for Spell Absorption.
So you can even have items that raise your Strength.

I know I just thought I'd bring it up.
It's annoying having to constantly buy new spells for mage's.
It leaves the coffers dry early in the game.

yeah it drove me nuts trying to make a mage class, and i ended up getting frustrated and just adding like 6 million gold to my inventory

Altmer. I love high elves, even more than I used too.

mine is Dunmer because of the fire resist and it helps with the Trolkin effect of The Lord birthsign

Don't necessarily have a main, but my favorites are a tie between the Dunmer and Khajiit. Very rich races, in my opinion. Seems kind of weird I'd like those two, considering their relationship.

Their culture is what draws me, and the appeal of a great all-around character. I always seem to change strengths half-way through games, starting geared towards magic, but ending with a lot of strength. Dunmer gives me the ability to do this without sacrificing much, if anything at all.

That's why I noted that it was odd I'd like both Khajiits and Dunmer.

in TESIII, doesn't that practice get banned?

Banned, yes. Enforced, no.

EDIT: Oh wait, wasn't it banned after TES III?

Slavery was outlawed by King Hlaalu Helseth, a Dunmer, after the events of TESIII and before the events of TESIV. Prior to IV it was still legal, as seen in Morrowind.

Imperial, but also Altmer

A boring Imperial for years, but also an Axe-wielding Mage Orc since I saw that old GameTrailers review.

Slavery was always legal in the land of the Altmer and persists legal even after Oblivion.

You can find Imperial slaves in Morrowind, but yeah most of the slaves do seem to be Argonians and Khajit. Do you know why that is probably?
