First off, from the good ol' wiki it self:
USEP WIKI wrote:
In Morrowind, every humanoid character has a class, including your character and all NPCs. A character's class reflects their occupation, their position in society, or simply what sorts of things they are good at. In game terms, class comprises three different aspects of a character: Specialization, Favored Attributes, and Major/Minor Skills. Together, these choices have significant impact on the state of your character at the start of the game, as well as how they will develop as they increase in level. When you create a character, you will either create a custom class, or use one of the game's twenty-one predefined classes.

So now that we have a better understanding of what Classes are, and what they imply in their entirety, let me explain the purpose and function of this particular thread.

Obviously there is a classes section on the wiki, and that is good and all and very much needed, but the purpose of this thread is to include member made classes along with all other known classes in one convenient location. Often many new members to the forum or to the awesome game of Morrowind will have a question more or less along the lines of "Help me with my build". Now, not that I want to take away from their voice here on the forum, I merely want to provide a place where help can be given easily and directly.

So let's get down to it. All classes listed in GREEN will be pre-made classes, that is classes that you have the option of choosing when you first start the game. All NPC classes will be listed in RED. And finally, all member made classes will be in BLUE, which will be links to the post of the member that entered his/her class into the thread.

Classes are entered in alphabetical order. The specifics of what skills, favored attributes, specialization and so forth are listed in spoiler tags beneath each class respectively.

Any custom made classes submitted in this thread will be included in the OP's alphabetically listed order, in its proper color, as they are given.

Inevitably, amidst all the custom classes to be listed by members, some class names or skills sets may be repeated. So, to combat against confusion, I present Homonym and Synonym classes. AS a reminder, we all know that in grammar, homonyms are words with the same pronunciation, but with a different meaning, or definition. And in like turn, synonyms have the same meaning but a different pronunciation.
So how does this relate to our yet-to-be future problem? Simple. Any custom classes submitted with the same name but with a different skill set will be listed as a Homonym class, and will be denoted as such next to its name in the class list. Any classes submitted with a different name but with the same skill set will be marked as a Synonym class, and will in turn be listed as such in the class list.

To post a custom class of your own simply draft out your post including a brief description of the class, its specialization, favorite attributes, and major and minor skills. At your own discretion you may add any other bits of info that you so wish, such as what race the class best suits, or what birthsign the character performs best under. You may provide as much info as you want on the class, but make sure the above in bold is included at the very least. If it is not, I will be unable to add it to the list until such time that you properly and fully fill the form out. I will shoot you a PM if you miss something that prevents me from posting your class.
Then, simply click 'Submit' and let your post fly, and patiently wait by til I get around to adding your class to the list, which should only take a few days of waiting at the most.
As credit to your effort in developing the class, your name will be included with the class giving you proper recognition for its creation.

Note: All text in regard to NPC and premade classes are taken from the UESP wiki, and are not products of the poster.

Nice concept Venger  Can I suggest also adding links to the Morrowind Character Creator for classes, maybe just for the player ones? I'd love to contribute, and will post a class or two in a second, but for now, I'll link to this thread in the Guide I am still constructing. Great work!

Edit: Voilà

Dunmeri Warrior:
Spoiler:
  • Description: Skilled in the traditional Dunmeri arts of combat, Dunmeri Warriors are skilled in the balanced integration of Blade, Bow and Destructive Magic. Masters of the Blade, they rely on Agility and Speed just as much as power and Strength in combat. In addition, Dunmeri Warriors follow the teachings of the Temple, and have a basic knowledge of healing and herblore.
  • Specialization: Combat

  • Major Skills:
    Long Blade

They are nimble on the battlefield, unimpeded yet protected by Light Armors; and at home in the woods and on the plains. Dunmeri Rangers live off the land when they must, studying herblore and healing techniques so as best to preserve themselves. Rangers are persuasive in conversation when the opportunity to gather information presents itself, and the shadows hide them, while no lock holds them out.

How about:

One has to have the strength of a Nord while having the light feet of a Bosmer or Khajiit to be a (name). Meh, bandits are usually either more of a thief type, or usually more of a combat type. It's better than my name, which is so unoriginal, so I might use it. The mage/thief class is Nightblade, and the combat/mage type is Battlemage, but what's the combat/thief type?

Rogue seems to be the buzzword, although that might not fit. I'm lacking creativity at the minute though, so I'm not sure I'm going to be much help on this one.

first, its rogue :p

hm, a roguish warrior.
pirate?
swashbuckler
thug
henchman
strongarm (as opposed to a quickfinger or glibtongue)
mmm, lets think some more

actually, i think "strongarms" is a kind of regular slang for the fighting and intimidation part of a thieves guild or similar organization, but i'll keep mindstorming

What i actually wanted to say, for the nicety of the whole database.. the alchemist stats are currently all in red. sorry, got distracted. And its probably a wise woman, not a wiser woman. I also think its funny that i used to think my custom created class was very different, but it looks a lot like a warlock, with a bit more combat related skills

Hmm, damn spellchecker . I was thinking something along the Thug lines, how about something like: Bandit, Bruiser, Cutthroat, Gangster, Mafioso, Mobster, Mugger, Outlaw, Racketeer, Robber, Ruffian or Thug?

Maybe one of these Camonna Tong ranks might give you some inspiration?

Meh, now that I think about it, they all seem not blended as the half/warrior, half/thief type. I don't know, maybe we can create a name for it, like Musclethief or something? It's a silly name.

(Sorry for hijacking this, if the mods feel this should be a new thread, let me know and I'll start it. I feel it's connected, though.)

As promised, I have also started a custom class list on my Morrowind site (I know, I know, it's still woefully basic, but putting it out there will provide a good incentive to work on it). I am still making the pages for adding/editing classes and user accounts, but if anyone would like to see their classes there as well, let me know (PM, this thread, my contact form, wherever). I will set you up an account, add your classes and attribute them to your accounts.

Looks interesting Yogi, I guess we can sort of run these as joint side projects even, Venger willing. Any ideas that get posted here can get transferred to your utility, and then can also be added here, with a link as with the two I posted a while back. Very nice .

Few things: First, mods please don't lock this thread. I know it may be out of its usual one -two month inactivity period, but this was designed as an on going topic. I hadn't expected such a long lull, but all the same.

Also, sorry for the long delay, svknight. I know I said I would post them one -two days later, but I have been off for some time now. However, I have returned and will pay special heed, as I should have been doing, to my thread. Your classes svknight, have been posted.

And finally to Oskatat: Thanks for pointing out the errors in, "the database". They have been rectified.

I will be adding one of my own in the near future for certain. I may have others. Dunno yet. But this posting also serves as a bump. Be sure to add your custom classes folks!
