I follow this path:
C:>Program Files(x86)>Bethesda Softworks>Morrowind

I've gone through everything, and yet nothing. Am I missing something or is there no way to get rid of old, useless saves?

You can find saves in the Data Files folder, I think. Just be careful with what you do with them. I personally just overwrite old saves with newer ones when I'm done and bored with them.

I've tried, nothing in that folder says anything about saves, surprisingly.

Ah, sorry then. I don't know my way around the folders properly and I don't have my computer nearby to check. I'm pretty sure I've seen a saves folder in my Morrowind area before though. It might work differently for me as I'm on Steam, but check some other areas to see if you can spot any.

Sometimes the saves are saved in a different location. Try checking your libraries saved games folder.

I've recently upgraded to a new Win 7 PC, and I too can't fully get my head around finding the files.

I know my Oblivion saves are in My Documents->My Games, but I just went and did a quick browse, and could not locate my Morrowind saves in either Program Files or My Documents. I'll be sure to let you know if I do properly locate them (I've been playing Oblivion a bit more at the moment anyway, after about a year of Morrowind). I'll carry out a more detailed search when I have a little bit more time to spare.

You might try a search with *.ess in C:\

* stands for "any file name", and .ess is the ending of Morrowind saves. The search should give you everything. Morrowind's saves go by default to Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Morrowind\Saves, no matter what the OS is.

The problem is, the Program Files folder in Windows 7 is utterly protected, and even if you have Administrator rights or are the sole user of the whole computer AND you have marked "Show all files and folders"... you may not be able to reach what you want. That's the way Microsoft did it, this time.

Even after you find your saves, you may have problems with deleting them. In that case, as in other cases like this with Windows 7, you can use Take ownership
