I'm toward the end of the main quests and I've completed the last quest with King Helseth. Technically he shouldn't be needed to compete the Tribunal quests. I want to go kill him and take his ring, will that mess anything up? Also, can he be taunted into a fight? I want to kill him in a way that my stolen goods won't be confiscated when I clear my bounty.

The problem here would be his ring, which would be the only reason to kill him. And I don't think that there is a way to by-pass his ring.

If you can somehow non-magically deal more than 10 damage per second, I'd go for it. (Or if one strike can cause 400+ damage)

Edit: Oh, I just read that you're on the PC. Well then, if you use the console, that eliminates all difficulty, so I say go for it.

I actually killed him fair and square :)

The only downside is I'm finding his ring is a too powerful. I can pretty much B*** slap Vivec or anyone else for that matter.

Heyyy! :x You make Vivec cry

Yeah, I never liked his ring too much. It's really too powerful, since it takes most of the fun out of the game.

I think constant effect 50% reflect, 50% resist would have made an epic ring that at least keeps the game somewhat playable. But it's 100% resist everything plus 100% reflect plus heal 10 points per second - constant effect?

I'm not sure what to do now with my character :| A big part of the fun for me is building someone up as badass as I can. Keep it in my pocket in the event of an emergency (about to die, forgot to save)?

Well, if you want difficult and have Bloodmoon, set the difficulty to 100 and go werewolf hunting. Those suckers are hard! We're talking 50, 60, 90 level guys.

The royal signet ring is great when pairing it with other enchanted items that would normally have some negetive effects (mantle of woe, boots of blinding speed, sheogoraths ring). I would not recommend it for lower level newer players (though those could most benefit from it) as my fellow enthusiests have said as it WILL make you invincible (basically) but for people like me who are constantly trying to push the boundries of morrowind, it's a must.
