Morrowind etymology

Skooma
skum -dark, shady, immoral (Swedish)

I never thought of that :D

Kjeld -name derived from Kjell -kettle (Norwegian)

Kjell is quite common in Sweden as well, never knew it meant kettle though.

Divayth Fyr
divinus -divine
fyr -guy (Danish) or fyr -fire (Norwegian)

"Fyr" also means "lighthouse" in Swedish.

Solstheim
sollst (2 person singular present) from sollen -should, to be recommended, to be obliged, to be intended (German)
heim -home (German)

"Heim" is also "home" in Norwegian, and "hem" = "home" in Swedish.

Skaal
skal -shell, skull (Danish)

And in Swedish ;)

Lake Fjalding
fjall -mountain (Old Norse)

Fjäll/fjell in Swedish/Norwegian

Stalhrim
stahl -steel (German)
hrím -frost (Old Norse)

Stal=stål=steel in Swedish

Himmelhost Barrow
himmel -sky, heaven (German)
höst -autumn, figuratively time towards the end of life (Swedish)

It'd be more simple to mention both "himmel" and "höst" is Swedish.

Kolbjorn Barrow
Kolbjørn -Norwegian name from Old Norse kol -coal and bjorn -bear

Kol and björn are Swedish words as well.

Skogsdrake Barrow
skógr -wood, forest (Old Norse)
drake -dragon (Norwegian)

Here it'd also be more simple to mention both "Skog" and "drake" are Swedish words as well, and "skog" is closer than "skogr".

Bjorn
björn -bear (Old Norse)

As before, "björn" is still a Swedish word.

Hvitkald Peak
hvítr -white (Old Norse)
kaldr -cold (Old Norse)

Here I think Old Norse might be closer, but I'll mention it anyway - "Vit" and "Kall" in Swedish.

Grahl
gräl -quarrel (Swedish)

Interesting, I've never thought of that :D

Brynjolfr
brynja -coat of mail, armour, protection (Old Norse)
-olfr from ulfr -wolf (Old Norse)

"Brynja" is actually still used in Sweden, and "wolf" would be "ulv" but Old Norse was a tad closer.

Skjoldr Wolf-Runner
skjoldr -shield (Old Norse)

Old Norse was a bit closer here as well, but in Swedish it'd be "skjöld".

Vigunn
vig -battle, fight (Old Norse)
unna -to love (Old Norse)

If you put "en" before "vig" you'll have a Swedish word for battle, but usually only between a couple of people.

Fixed, I figured it'd be better if all languages mentioned are as close to the word as possible :D

Did you make that list yourself? It'd be cool if you'd put it on the wiki or something.

That's a good idea. Hey, did anyone else here realize they could read daedric? I mean, before I even tried translating, I could understand alot of it. Only reason I had to actually learn it was because I didnt realize there wasnt a Y.

I really think that some of these are unintentional. Still cool though.

Why would it not be added?

Wait. So was this information moved elsewhere on the wiki or entirely deleted?

May I point out that Lorkhan is a combination of Lore and Khan, Khan being a word in some language for lord or king.

Khan is Mongolian (Genghis Kahn means Great Leader/King).

Right, Mongolian, I was thinking Hindi.
And I'm not sure why...
