Unlike in Oblivion, I prefer the Dunmer in Morrowind. Perhaps it's a more "at home" feeling I get from playing them in their home country or maybe it's something else, but I nearly always choose them when I play. I love their raspy voice and aloof personalities. And.. I love how the Dunmer women yell "STOOOPID!" when I kill them! :P

So.. what race do you love? Why?

Why is this sticky? you ask.. because Morrowind hasn't nearly enough sticky threads!

As with Oblivion, I love playing as the khajit. They're different from human enough to be interesting, and look better than the argonians. Besides, they're a slave race in Morrowind, it's kinda funny to see one become the hero of the land.

though my choice in race changes with how i want to play the game, my favorite is the argonian ... then again, i always favor the reptilian races in games.

I love the Dunmer in both Oblivion and Morrowind. Usually I play a custom race, but definitely my favorite stock race is Dunmer. They can really do anything well, and they also can merge fighting styles very well.

egg and spoon

EDIT: actually i've only played redguard and bosmer. can't say i noticed much difference between them except i didn't find much use for the bosmer's natural abilities. i'm guessing redguard is a better choice for beginners

Didn't we do this like... 100 times already? Anyway, because this is a sticky i guess there's no need for newbs starting polls like this one just to increase their post count anymore. I voted Altmer. ( I guess most forumers who know me already know this, but I thought I'd share it anyway. )

Well as much as I like some of the other races, I'm a dunmer at heart, plus they make the most awsome dark knights*

*Anyone know the 'Champions' games? The 'Dark Elf Shadow Knight' looks amazing, pure black (madness) and an awsome claymore XD she was one ... awsome chick

I like the Argonians. I just think they're kind of cool, plus the poison immunity is immensely useful against Daedroths and the Dark Brotherhood agents in Mournhold.

Having said that my favourite character I've ever had on Morrowind was an Altmer battlemage, so who knows.

In Oblivion, I am usually fond of Bosmer or Bretons, and, for special cases, Dunmer. Why? Archery and magic is MUCH more practical.

In Morrowind, however, it seems the combative classes are much more practical.
Thusly, I usually am an Imperial (the perfect swordsmen), or a Dunmer (as many people have already stated, they feel at home).

I could swear that the male Redguards were the best swordsmen?

Redguards don't get the bonus to hand-to-hand and light armor that Imperials do, however, and I usually prefer to have a small bit of agility whilst swordfighting.

Yeah but you only said 'Swordsmen', not warrior, in which case the Redguards have the best 'long blade' skill.

For Morrowind I wouldn't say I've got a favourite race. I usually figure out how I wanna role play the game this time at the start and chose my race accordingly.
For doing the MQ I prefer Dunmer though but Altmer mages are also quite fun. :D

After 5 years of playing morrowind on xbox I now always am a high elf. My sign is always apprentice and I custom my class to make my initial skills as low as possible, getting me to an eventual lvl 74.
