Seems like the most recent PTS patch included some Crown Store assets with a notable Halloween theme. Wonder if we're gonna see some seasonal updates? Better late than never.

Just out of curiosity, but why do the Russian language sites always seem to be the first to get this type of info?

Interesting. I always liked the seasonal events in Guild Wars 2; they're fun.

Hopefully they tie it into an in-lore holiday, such as Tales and Tallows, or Witches' Day.
I might actually be tempted to buy something from the Crown Store, finally. I'm really liking the dog. I'd have to see the preview of the Altmer armor on my character to decide if I want it.

What constitutes "Halloween-themed" in a game with monsters and magic already in the mix?

Half of the stuff in my everyday home decor is already Halloween-like, from the pierced metal lanterns to the (resin stone) skull with voodoo engravings.

I'm actually really digging the pumpkin polymorph, even if it's pretty American for TES. Hopefully we see those guys as enemies, seems a shame to go to the trouble of making assets like that just to offer them as vanity fluff for a month.

ESN has always been an excellent source of news. We could have gotten it equally as fast if someone datamined it, but the wiki isn't really the place to host that sort of news anyway. Some of the other things those guys find are gems though, no idea where they get it...

Pumpkin... Enemies? Maybe as a DLC 'joke' dungeon or summat - it'd be really weird to have those as part of the serious main game.

Works best if you think of them as decapitated peoples' heads, come back for revenge.

Not like I've given this any thought before.

It's not that problematic or silly, really. There's a handful of holidays in Tamrielic lore that are fairly thematically close to Halloween. Close enough to allow for a little wiggle room for the sake of fun.

Well, perhaps, but I still feel they should be part of a holiday-themed DLC. There are holidays close to Halloween in Tamriel, but that's a leap to pumpkin enemies.

I think perhaps half of the significant number of hours I spent on the Black Sacrament Mod were for Casandra's pumpkins.
