So I found an Alchemy Survey, it lead me to a field of a few ingredients and now it's gone. Is that it's sole purpose? Or did I miss something?

Also, I found a collectible by the name of "Werewolf's Cameo". It's just an amulet/necklace that doesn't really do anything and I'm not allowed to bank it... So what's its point?

That is its sole purpose. The Survey leads to a group of ingredients that give you 2 ingredients per node, as opposed to one, and multiple in the same area. It's basically a small reward for doing the profession quest.

The Werewolf's Cameo is a collectible for an achievement. I didn't realize you couldn't put those in the bank. Once you loot it, it gets recorded and from there you can simply sell it if you want to, or keep it in your inventory. It serves no other real purpose.

Actually, just looting it won't record it for the achievement. You need to activate it from your inventory for it to be recorded, which will destroy it in the process. Very weird that you aren't able to put it in your bank though, perhaps that's only an option once you've found a second one. Those collectibles are pretty rare, so consider saving it for a new character rather than selling it to an NPC.

You can absolutely put it in the bank. You just can't put it in the guild bank, same as any other bound items.

I'm not in a guild yet so I don't have access to a guild bank and still won't let me put it in the regular bank. I'll try to activate it next time I log on and report back.
