| Post subject: | Skyrim deleted my old save game. |
I decided to make a new character in order to try the storm cloak quest line, then went to hard save it. I see only two save files, one I'd made half an hour earlier on my new character, and one I didn't remember making, right as ulfric steps off the cart. I try to load my old character, but he is nowhere to be found...what happened and is there any way to get him back? |

The one that you don't remember saving is a permanent auto save, so that when you want to start a new character you don't have to sit through the intro every time. But as for your saves dissapearing, my guess is your game glitched up, or you accidentally overwrited it. |

Make sure you are loading and saving to the same source. I know on Xbox you can save to the internal memory, Hard Drive, USB device, and Cloud. Did you start your new character on the same source? Maybe you inserted a usb drive into your PS3 and it defaulted to that? |

Now this is just guessing but if you saved on #1 save file (the auto) and started a new game, it would overwriter it to save the new start. |
