Hi, I would like to do these quests, or at the very least use the console to gain the abilities they provide. Unfortunately, it seems there is a bug where the companions refuse to give you these quests and instead send you out to kill animals over and over again. Any ideas/workarounds?

You have to continue to do the Animal extermination quests, all the radient quests are random. Eventually Aela will provide you with the totem quests. Please refer to the link below.

I see, so I could conceivably have to do 10+ animal kill quests before she'll give me the one I want?

I have read elsewhere that there is actually a bug that keeps you from getting anything but animal kill quests from Aela.

That was what we had found. If there is in fact a bug it may be fixed in one of the 2 patches. 1.1 is out for both PC and console. 1.2 may be released for colsole already but will be out for PC soon or may have been released since I was last informed.

I will keep doing these Animal Quests. I must be on my at least my 12th.

Well apparently marrying Aela does break the quests some of the time. Just to be safe I had a save file from right before I made the big decision, opened it and finished the quests before runnign off with my grinning bride.

I was playing the quest and and i enter haemar's shame, continue through the cave untill i reach a cave within haemar's sham, after i enter into the loading screen, my xbox freezes. This happens every time i try to go into the cave i need to enter, and now i am stuck with Aela the huntress as a follower who only wields an iron dagger, an imperial bow and an iron sheild, and also gives away my position whenever i try to sneak, and I have 100 sneak. Any ideas how to atleast get rid of aela?
