I just finished a quest for Aela where we picked up a wolf totem and put it on a small altar in the Underforge. After praying at the altar, my werewolf form now has an inherent detect life effect. I noticed that there were two other altars there, and was wondering if there were two more quests for improving the werewolf form or if the little altars were just there for show.
For the record, I finished the main quest and the Companions questline before getting the quest from her. I don't know if either or both are prerequisites.

Also, does anyone know if the werewolf form keeps your racial innates? Because my breton, who has 60% magic resist (25 innate+20 alteration perks+ 15 Agent of Mara) seems pretty resistant to magic while in beast form, as well.

Can any one confirm/deny if getting married to Aela will stop these quests from appearing? I recieved the first quest but after marrying Aela I can't seem to get the other two. It may just be becuase it's a radient quest but I'm not sure.

Actually, I didn't even get the first quest until after I married Aela. I had to do a regular "go kill all the things" quest before getting the second quest. And what do you mean by "Initial Werewolf Ability"? I've gotten the Totem of the Hunt and the Totem of Brotherhood already. Does the Totem of Fear make Scent of Blood more effective or something?

I haven't married her and I have completed the first totem quest, now I too am stuck with detect life. When I try to go get a second totem quest from Aela she only gives out Animal Extermination. What gives?

Totem of Fear gives you the original Howl, causing people to run from you. It's the first Totem I got but hoping eventually I can get the other Totems, TY for the info, glad someone else likes Aela too lol. Wishing all who are having trouble luck, for the glory of Hircine. Hunt well!
