I havn't played Dragonborn enough to know the difference, but are you sure that just isn't a regular cultist?

Are the robes actually any different to Miraak's?

This is Miraak in the creation kit, according to Pilaf the defiler.

Dayum, that looks pretty close to me...

He doesn't look quite so badass without his mask, does he?

Oh, I'm also moving this to Skyrim-General... Shouldn't really need to explain why..

That's a wonderful detail! Neloth does mention that the permanent influence of Hermaeus Mora manifests itself through black spots appearing in the whites of the eyes. We can assume that during all that time spent in the Apocrypha the spots in Miraak's eyes gradually got bigger and bigger till they flooded out everything else! Which is creepy and interesting at the same time.

The CS has a "young" picture of him, too, for some reason. I'm not sure why as time travel is not involved in this quest. Deleted content possibly? He used to have medium length blonde hair in braids and blue eyes. His skin also looked healthier.

Wow, this is cool. I wish I had thought of this before. I'm actually really curious about his race, so I'm going to look that up right now.

He was a Nord, naturally. Listen to the accent and examine his backstory. He was a Dragon Priest. If all that fails, the CS puts it to rest and lists his race as Nord.

:o I would love to see a picture of this earlier Miraak!

He certainly has a rugged look going on, doesn't he? Though I expected a bit of a narrower face and dark hair, for some reason. Would match his voice, to me.

Okay... let me adjust the Time stream. This will be painful - for the Dragon.

[garbled, blood curdling screams eclipsed by mothstorms]

Okay here's your image. I hope you're happy. I had to wrestle squid-bears for this.

Looks just like a typical Nord to me. How boring. Which ID is that? I see around... six to eight Miraaks

I think it's C. I'm not the one who took the screens. I'm just a lesser emissary of Temple Zero. I take what I can get. Don't shoot the messenger. It's a pain to respawn.

As for him looking normal/boring - well, he has a unique model and an unusual hairstyle at least. He looks like a rugged, handsome fellow when younger in my hetero opinion. Also, it's actually better if he's just some Nord. It's a cautionary tale about the corrupting influence of absolute power. Even a poor farmboy from Skyrim can become something monstrous in time.

Both shots of Miraak in the Creation Kit show up with the deleted message.

I have a shot of old Miraak, but that's it.
Though he does look better in-game anyway. And with Better Males.

Hm. I should actually see what young Miraak looks like in-game. Gimme a bit here. Now I've got to see what young Miraak looks like with my mods enabled...

Its a good thing his voice is like a lullaby, because otherwise I'd say he needs to go see that face changer in Riften!

Hah. I don't think he's that ugly. Maybe a few tweaks here and there and he'd be fine.

Anyway, after fighting with the Creation Kit...
We now have another shot of young Miraak.

All of my characters have the pure black eyes. So this guy looks like a dragon born according to my personal lore

My image still works for me, but the one Mauin posted is clearer anyway.

Beards don't go well with masks, though.

Although, Dagoth Ur had a HUGE beard under his. You can actually see it coming out through the bottom. You wanna talk about someone who is ugly under his mask, just be thankful you didn't have the option of looting Dagoth's corpse in Morrowind.

His nose could be smaller, but aside from that, he's rather handsome in his own way. Young Miraak matches the voice much better than the current version, though.
