Vote in the poll who is the strongest follower in your opinion. Then, post in the forum on why you think he is the strongest. In my opinion I think the Dark Brotherhood Initiates are the strongest because there level cap is 81 and because there is a glitch to get a regular follower, plus the 2 dark brotherhood initiates, and Cicero, all at the same time. If there is a follower that is not a poll option just tell me who you think is the strongest and why in a forum post.

Although I seem to recall this being done before.

Just in case no one has played Dawnguard yet.

Spoiler:
Have to say that it is Serena all the way for me, unlike most followers I've tried she isn't completely brain dead, she can sneak and avoid gate traps her magic is fairly useful and she is quite handy with a dagger, can mod your arrows and turn you in to a vampire lord.

Weakest follower has to be Mjoll the Manbeast, I found that she can't fight worth a damn and is the cowardly lioness plus she spends all her time yacking at you and sets off every trap.

i like either J'zargo, Serana or Lydia(yes it's true, i like having her carry my burdens) But Serana is the best by far

Lydia becomes obsolete after level 24. I know tons of people like here but she isn't even the strongest housecarl.

Interesting statement, considering all housecarls use the same class and therefore have the same skill set, health, magicka and stamina values. Other than their looks and voices, housecarls are 100% identical. ;)

though Lydia is often the first you meet and without using some wabbajak stuff she's often the made the weakest simply because of that.

Mods FTW! :P

Though I'm not sure if one of the last two patches actually fixed that. My followers level up automatically now without me having to do anything.

I personally wouldn't vote for any of the npcs on this list. My favorite followers have been Brelyna, Onmund, Marcurio...pretty much followers that max out at level 30. And Meeko. Reason being is they are not overpowering and hold their own damn well. Cicero is pretty good and highly amusing, but the other initiates broke my stealth constantly. They would just rush on ahead and kill everything. Ahem, NO. I lead the game here. I don't care what level my follower makes it to, I just want them to be fun so I can have a good story relationship.

The housecarls are boring, although Jordis is a sweetie.

I'm pretty sure J'zargo is the only one who levels to 81.

Hahaha , i agree with this :P

but in Skyrim , my favourite would be J'zargo , because he levels till 81 if you meet him at level 81 , he is a powerful ranged spellcaster who can wear Heavy armour , meaning he is more useful to me as i am a melee warrior

I thought Mjoll was pretty bad except for half the time that she would actually fight she would do pretty darn good.

Maybe on yours, but not mine, plus I heard Lydia does not always level up right.

Given the same level, housecarls always have the same stats. They use the same class. And unless it was fixed in the 1.5 or 1.6 patch, all followers don't level up properly. That's not a Lydia-specific problem.
