It's a long run, as:

Spoiler:
You will need Daedra hearts, which are not very common (human hearts and black soul gems to make one are not common either), and you will need Sigil Stone, that is, you will make Ritual of Conjuration quest.

Daedra Hearts are common enough, at least if you save them for Daedric crafting. A number of alchemists sell them (I know Babette usually has a stock, and I think I've seen them in the Hags Cure) and they can be found as drops from high level wizard enemies. I've found a lot more Daedra hearts than human hearts, at least, and I think I may even have more Daedra hearts than hawk beaks at the moment.

Yeah, you can also buy hearts from Enthir in the college every 48 hours. You still need to have the ebony version of whatever you're trying to summon, and some drawven ruin exploring to pick up the dynamo cores. It took me an hour or so just to collect 5 of those.

Whoops, forgot it was related to the Conjuration quest. I prostrate myself and thank my seniors for their correction.

Thank you for your answers.I had totally forgotten about the atronach forge.I have even found two daedric recipes and placed the sigil stone on it but i never tried to use the forge.I have the ingredients, so I'm going to use the forge to get the daedric items :).

I'm around level 46 I think but I haven't found anything (armor/weapon) daedric or dragonscale/plate. I'm almost up to dragon smithing though, but I'd not mind the daedric weapons at least. I guess it's not possible to go downwards from the dragon one? I'm on the light armor route, sadly. I thought I'd make use of the glass smithing but by the time I got to that, around lvl 25, max 30 I had several full sets of glass AND ebony, I just sell them now if I can, if not, I drop it. Every boss chest has a glass armor piece and an ebony weapon for me at this point. Notice the glass ARMOR and ebony WEAPON part: I use(d) full glass for myself and an ebony bow for maybe 20 levels at least. Maybe the game takes your choices into account in generating loot?

I have not had Daedra Hearts enough to waste them, I have used them sparingly to create daedric equipment. I'm not sure about the numbers, but I guess that I have had something like 15-20 daedra hearts in total in my game with current character. Anyways, not enough for experimenting purposes.

No, it is not.

Yes, and later Draugr Death Overlords will be carrying ebony weapons and ebony shield, so you are going to have lots of them, if you like. I stuck on ebony weapons and armor pieces, they are good enough and much easier to obtain for experimental (disposable) enchants; in fact, except ebony bow, I changed my equipment to steel later in the game. Cheap to make, and thus it does not worry so much to loose one if being disarmed.

Time to time I have thought that, too, but I am not entirely sure about it. I find lots of different armor pieces and weapons, except dragon and daedric, but in the other hand, being unable to choose between armor classes I have used both light and heavy armors with my character (Light Armor is something like 98, Heavy Armor is 100).

Well, and half of the armor/trinkets I find contains fortify archery (or what it's name is, lol) or fortify alchemy for me. Unless it's the same for everyone else, then it's going for my skills, there's only so much chance of finding three Peerless Archery glass helmets in a row. Nothing for one-handed or magic and only some with fortify health, and lately, now that I suddenly brought my sneak up to 100 and started opening every chest, it's fortify sneak and lockpicking.

If this is real, I'd just LOVE to know what people do to find the daedric stuff.

...guys. What if it's the stone you set at the beginning? Stealth-Fighter-Magic? Mine is on stealth...

I think I've found one set of dragonplate gauntlets in a chest, and one enchanted daedric shield. That's it. Both after level 50, and I also have the "better loot" perk. So yes, the things are rare.

If you're basing it off that, I'd say either a high level smithing skill with perks on the heavy armor. More likely you just need a high skill in heavy armor.

I did use the forge to get the Daedric items and i encountered a bug.The Daedric boots are created normally, but after i pick them up they don't show in my inventory, but they still add to my weight.Has anyone else experienced something like that? Maybe it's a bug that applies only on the daedric boots created by the forge?Anyway i ended up adding the boots by the console and removing the items required to create them.

Level 41 here and the only powerful items that I've found are made from Ebony.

I made my own Daedric gear...

You know what? It's back to the kitchen for me for a while but after that I'll go back to the stones, set the warrior one and see what I'll find in the chests :D If it's just skills though, then I doubt I'll have much luck with it... But I don't actually have high skill in light armor either, I'm an archer, I don't get hit... much.

It kinda explains what the stones are for...

For example... The Thief stone gives you more xp when using its skills (Light Armour, Pickpocketing, etc). It doesn't change anything based on loot afaik.

I remember finding Daedric gauntlets and a Daedric helmet between levels 48-53. I personally relied on increasing my heavy armour smithing ability; even then though finding the necessary daedric hearts from various alchemists was a tedious task (I realise the atronach forge can make them but frankly, finding human hearts is not much easier). Oddly enough, I actually happened to chance across a dragonplate helmet before I found any Daedric stuff. Didn't matter really as I decided I liked the daedric stuff more even when I could start making dragon armour.

I have found full set of glass armor this weekend. All in one dwemer ruin. Some glass and ebony weapons too. I'm level 38 and my perks goes to smithing light armor (in case it does matter).

I've found glass gauntlets, a helmet and main armour on my travels, from level 20-27(current), plus glass and ebony daggers. Glass is definitely out there! :D

As for loot following what your skills/perks are set to, I found that my heavy armor smithing/destruction perk'd punchy mage-cat has found a LOT more magical staves than my light armor smithing/archery/one-handed sneak assassin dark elf has.

That being said, the plural of anecdote is not data. :P

I found my first piece of daedric last night. Level 44. Found the armour first and boots soon after. Unfortunately my heavy armour is about 20 as I've been using light gear. Still at least my honeyside mannequin looks absolute badass lol

It can, but it's incredibly difficult. If you're a heavy armor guy, you might want to check out

Spoiler:
The Blade Armor

as it's just slightly worse than Daedric, and easily found during the main quest.

I just found my first Daedric at level 30. Admittedly, it was only 7 Daedric Arrows, from a Dwemer Centurian, but still...
